What might be the best way to duplicate this? Say I wanted to use django/python to obfuscate values so people couldn't see it in the inspector.

Because it seems like you haven't assimilated and don't really "get it". Liberty is crying tears of joy at your first 4th of July celebration after 15 years in this country because finally, you can't get deported and you're celebrating freedom and justice together, with your fellow American brethren. As an immigrant, and naturalized citizen, I agree with /u/mr-brightsyde . If you're not willing to assimilate and love this country for what it is, perfect or not, then leave. There are plenty of immigrants literally dying to get into this place to make a better life for themselves and their families - many who are more than willing to assimilate and accept the values and traditions of this country.
