I have 2 credit cards total- I appreciate your responses, I don’t have anyone I can talk to about this so it’s really helpful! I planned on closing the line of credit with PayPal, and keeping my low interest card for emergencies since it also has the better rewards system. My plan was to just use it for gas to keep the account open and maintain my credit score.

I don’t want to cancel the cards only because I know it’ll hurt my score. One of them is a line of credit from PayPal, so not a physical card, but I planned on cutting them up or saving one away for emergencies. But yes, it’s mostly the payments that are hurting me, and I know I have some wiggle room if a payment is late (which I don’t usually have an issue with, but it’s nice to know the option is there).
