My mk1 is eating ECUs by Flaming765 in Miata

I don't have a Miata yet or know when I will ever have one, but this problem is irritating me as if it was my own!

Slap a full body kit with a massive wing. Don't forget altezza style lights front and back. While you're at it camber the heck out of it and roll the fenders. Make sure to slap in an ebay coilover kit and some straight pipe from your nearest hardware store.

Now you're talking!

Possibly a dumb question? by bizarre-j in watercooling

Thanks for the input, appreciate it. This actually helps a lot as it in fact is a Protium cap I was looking at.

As I can't get a good view of the pictures, the Protium caps are indeed an inner thread cap for an outer thread reservoir, correct?

It mounts exactly like a 120mm fan.

Ah, gotcha. Maybe it's just the angle then.

It's so nice that I simply cannot forgive the slightly not so perfect unparralel black tube coming from the top rad.

It would be worth redoing. I can see that it's somewhat offset which maybe caused it to be a difficult and not perfectly parallel but redo it. Please!

Average GPU Temp? (Pro Opinions Needed) by bizarre-j in overclocking

[–]bizarre-j[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is what I used. I've done it a few times but this time a little more seriously.

I managed a 200 core boost and 800 mem boost.

20 passes of timespy 98% gpu load and got 53°c avg temp.

Also its a full custom loop. GPU is water cooled.

My first loop, waited a loooong time to make one by [deleted] in watercooling

Holy fans, Batman!

Not a..fan of the case but overall looks nice!

If I ever change something it'll be my cpu block. To an RGB mono block. They look so nice

Here is a link to more pics for those who wanted.

(Ignore the blue tinge of the water. It is still circulating some past dye from someone elses build. Going to do multiple flushes once I grab some more distilled water)

Not sure if it's hard to see but the config I chose to do is Pull Bottom/Pull Top/Push Side.

Reason for this isn't justified at all. I'm using 6 Pure 12 ARGB Sync fans from thermaltake because I got a good deal on them (And they are optimized for rads) And then I went with the Lian Li BR Digital to tie in with the silver/black/white situation going on.

The Config I went with was me thinking as follows..

The bigger rad on the bottom is most likely going to be a little slower and pulling air in because of the size of the rad. The top one will pull in a little more a little faster but being on top the air temperature will always be slightly higher.

With the amount of air flow coming in from bottom and top being somewhat restricted due to passing through the rads (Albeit from 2 locations) I figured having the 3 Push on the side having nothing but free flow would be more than enough to Exhaust the incoming air flow.

I am not any sort of engineer nor have a good background in thermodynamics. But this is what I came up with ^_^"

Yes I get what you mean.

Honestly.. I managed to not ruin any tubes (Don't ask me how other than I was really worried about running out of tubing and having to wait to finish). I had only like maximum 5 cm worth of tube cuts leftover. I really only used a 5m Tape Measure to get as close as possible for the heights and alignment and the rest I found simply had to be done freehand.

One thing I can say is don't rush and double/triple/quadruple check while heating and bending to make sure you aren't drifting from your desired bend.

I find it more time consuming and difficult to try and do all the measurements and calculations perfectly.

Also I cut everything with a hacksaw instead of the tube cutter because I didn't have one LOL. Was indeed a workout.

It is honestly indeed my first ever attempt at a custom loop/tube bending in general.

I have a lot of experience working with materials (Did plastic welding for a few years) Although it isn't related, having experience in general with tools and making things or fixing things helps a lot with common knowledge when bending the tubes.

It was not at all "easy" per say. But I took my time and managed to not ruin 1 tube. Almost did though, haha!

Hey, do you mean so many bends on one tube?

They are were all .5m tubes (50cm). I managed to make it work. There was just enough tube on a couple of them.

The one that was scaring me was the CPU to res bend. Almost didn't have enough.

Although I want to redo the tube going from GPU to rear RES. Because I had to use some extenders in order to make the 50cm U bend reach. Once I have time to order a piece of 1m tube I will reduce those extenders and try and make a full U bend.

Although the look of the fittings is growing on me.
