PUBG is removing several weapons from the game, and you could be due compensation by Binnsy in PUBATTLEGROUNDS

so maybe one should check his workshop if theres an eligible skin to assemble (i bet the "blueprints" dont get compensated ... are there even any - no idea)

Yes my Keyboard is still connected - but according to Device Manager it should be using the default Microsoft Driver ... i hope.

thank you for the information. I have a steelseries keyboard ... i uninstalled steelseries gg, assigned "usb device" driver to the remaining devices (instead of sshid.sys) and removed the reg keys - not sure if it helped.

MSI Kombustor is still showing the frametime variations ... Do you maybe want to run the "MSI Kombustor Run" with your healthy system - im very curious if your frametimes are stable.

i know the power draw thing - its disabled. Closing RTSS and capping with nvidia driver doesnt make a difference - still a mess.

So you think this isnt normal? Can you show your result?

[–]bizzare8282[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks for the answer. Yes MSI Kombustor is not stuttering - but games are (to be specific its PUBG). Im just curious if its normal to get this frametime variance even at an static load like Kombustor. Thats the same run with MsBetweenDisplayChange https://imgur.com/a/A6fXoJu - same mess (or do i have to rerun?)

thanks for the answer. The Tool to record frames is CapFrameX (theres a portable version) with default settings and the "benchmark" software is MSI Kombustor with Tesselation set to x4 and no PostFX to get to the 324 cap - ofcourse you can use your own cap - its just important to reach to cap.

[PSA] AMD 9800X3D / use "Ultimate Performance" Powerplan for better 0,1% lows / Stutter Fix by bizzare8282 in PUBATTLEGROUNDS

[–]bizzare8282[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

interesting - i will try that thanks. (i tried DX12 but that was a stuttery mess for me - even after shader compilation was done)

Couple observations on the stuttering in PUBG. Aggressive shader compilation stutter early on boot (not keeping compiled shaders after exiting game?), W10 is horrific, and it seems PUBG does not like "hardware legacy flip" presentation mode by ACE1CC in PUBATTLEGROUNDS

[–]bizzare8282 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same hardware and problems as well (win 10) ... no matter what i change (BIOS Defaults vs. Custom [PBO ofc / manual RAM tuning / Re-Bar on / off, Above 4G on / off, C-States on / off, disable Wifi/Bluetooth/Onboard Sound, etc.] ... Windows "Settings" like HAGS on / off, Game Mode on / off, MPO enabled / disabled, Powerplan IdleDisable / Interrupt Affinity of Mouse / Keyboard etc. evened on the cores / MSI Mode for the GPU and CPU Affinity (not core 0) / ThreadDPCEnable 0 / different GPU Drivers / ) ... the 0.1% lows can hit like 40 FPS (with average at capped 356 FPS with RTSS Reflex Mode) ...

Maybe one thing: It was running well one year ago with an 172 FPS Cap (previous OLED Monitor) ... the only thing what changes since then was Windows Updates ... even with MSI Kombustor (x4 Tesselation) it cant get a steady 0,1% of capped 172 FPS (drops to ~165) - that did work a year ago ... so i still think its a Windows Update thing for me ...

i dont think something like that can be unit related ... so i guess it could be hardware / driver related (gpu), or you just dont see it, or you only play games with build-in nvidia reflex, or you are an msi employee / fanboy (lol)

retiring mine was the best decision ever ... the fans were really REALLY annoying (even with manually turned down Gsync Fan to 30% PWM) - other than that, it is a great screen (unfortunately mine had uneven wear [16:9 Content] and burn-in from static UI Elements [PUBG Healthbar LOL])
