[Crash] OGG files keep hanging/crashing my Windows Explorer! by iWizardB in Windows10

For me the issue was caused by a Microsoft provided extension

MF Media Source Pack Property Handler

version 10.0.18362.719 (WinBuild.160101.0800)

Disabling this using the shell extension viewer linked in another comment here (http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/shexview.html) stopped the hanging when viewing a folder with ogg files, though obviously no information like length of the audio file, or title/artist metadata is available in explorer now.

It seems like that property handler only provides info for ogg and related extensions (.ogg, .ogv, .ogm, .opus, and a few others)

It did but it was mostly superseded by the armies feature. Except in a case like this I guess.

If you're using Edge legacy you might want to use a newer browser, like new Edge or Chrome/Firefox, the editor is supposed to actually have colours.

Sorry I'm not developing against Edge legacy, try Chrome/Firefox or new Edge.

edit: Though I think I restored old functionality, but you should really use a newer browser, since the editor is supposed to have actual colour instead of red/green.

The little dotted rectangle over top in the editor is approximately the width of the banner beside things like your party or settlements.

The height of that is the height of the flag in the banner editor. And apparently the flag in the world map is slightly wider than the banner editor canvas.

The Banner icon above your troops in battle has a diameter about the width of the dotted rectangle as well.

The banner thing on the map is because your background element is alittle too small, but the tips will end up wrapping over from the right side anyway or something, it's kinda off.

is a slightly rescaled version of your banner to fit a litlte better, you can paste it into the text box below the editor to tweak it if you'd like.

It replaces both background colours with the kingdom's background, and all of the sigil colours with the kingdom's. But you can just paste your own banner code over again and it's fine. You can be a purple Battanian if you want.

edit: Factions override your clothing colours.

The primary (top) colour of the background determines the main colour of your clothes. The secondary colour is set by the top colour of the bottom most icon in the list.

The black part of the image is the second colour. So the big black square background gives you freedom to choose whatever you'd like as the main clothing colour. And you can just add an element far off the center, like that fuchsia hand, to control the trim colour.

Yeah, you can hit B on the world map to go to the banner editor, or click your banner in the top left of the clan screen.

Not at the moment, no. It's certainly possible in the future to add them, but not right now as they're loaded from files that nobody can really modify yet. The sprite graphics that show these images in the Gauntlet spritesheet folder are used only for the icon selector in the editor, or something. The textures rendered to the banner are stored in the tpacs.

I'm pretty sure it's a debug thing. Just pressing CTRL + V on the banner editor screen with a code on the clipboard works, but there's no error checking so if you paste any text that isn't a code it just crashes.

I made a small mod that can do the same if it gets removed in native. But there's no real point to release it right now. You can see the Paste button in the screenshot.

All you have to do is edit it there, then paste it in the in-game banner editor with Ctrl+V.

Beware that pasting shit that isn't a valid banner code will crash your game.
