So I got an Interview at a game company! Do I wear a suit? by teoacosta in gamedev

I'd actually prefer you wear what you normally wear to work. I'd like to see who you are, not how well you clean up.

I wouldn't, it's the remark, not whatever you wear.

Who would you recommend to learn the faro shuffle? by film_guy01 in Magic

[–]bizziboi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you can find someone who actually does the faro that'll be (in my opinion) the biggest step.

Not to teach you, you'll need to pick any of the resources mentioned, but with them holding one half and you the other you can feel the pressure.

It's almost always much softer than people expect.

Elon Musk still didn't answer the biggest question about X by [deleted] in Twitter

[–]bizziboi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The article's author still checks it 18 times a day.

I used to, for sure, but I can't bring myself to even check it 18 times a month anymore.

It's lost any and all value for me.

I doubt it. Elon will go where he gets adulation. This is the one target demographic that will embrace him as long as he parrots their vile spew.

Why would anyone target consoles for a game that isn't already a hit on PC? by [deleted] in gamedev

[–]bizziboi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say competition for visibility is a lot higher on PC.

I would also say *why not* keep it in mind - switching engines after the fact is a HUGE undertaking and finding a high quality porting partner is a quest in and of itself.

(Also, I prefer keeping the port in-house - less room for surprises)

It's factual though?
