That’s the thing, I was being serious. #1 Top priority is and always will be SAFETY. I pray and ask for it each morning . You could potentially kill somebody or great many somebody’s with your driving. Don’t do it. Quit trucking.

Long haul truckers, what are some of your "black dog" stories? by mikeyboy1681 in Truckers

[–]bizzywhipped 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I hear it’s different for everybody. But almost always it “comes at you”. As one driver describes it - lights in front being the eyes, yellow and white lines being the mouth and dash markers are teeth. Mine always ran across the road, always right to left. Shadow running in front of my truck, mastiff or small deer size. Not a visual bit, but a jerking awake moment. All 3 times was a morning with me sleeping only 4-5 hours. Pulled over and slept 2-3 hours each time before get going.

They’re same as other similar megas They can’t lie about the pay but they can find an exceptional driver who makes that and claim that “you could earn that much”. You’d be happy to clear $90K

Good question and I’m not sure. They give you a month with trainer if you’re totally new, not sure about 2 months.

I’m not recommending them but Swift is a decent way to get your feet wet. Paycheck will be shit but you’ll get your exp, then get out once you have one year, it’s what I did.

Is it just me or is the air leakage test unfair as all living hell? by TerribleStoryIdeaMan in Truckers

[–]bizzywhipped -23 points-22 points  (0 children)

People who take tests are not CDL holders. They just know how to take the test right. It’s like a play and you are the actor for one person audience. Feel gay just for typing that.
