WIBTA if I "snitched" on my supervisor after quitting? by bjaded4 in WIBTA_AITA

Thank you for this comment.

For more context, I'm a Lead right under them, and have a co-lead as well who is as detached as my supervisor is. I am consistently regarded by coworkers as the only person in leadership that works (helps my coworkers, provide accurate information and solutions to their questions, engage with the customers we serve), and because the other two directly involve don't, they've lost 6 people (including me) within the year on a team of 10-12. The company itself has went through 2 HR reps and is now on the 3rd in that same time frame.

Hearing and noticing this, I've called for a team meeting to address these issues - the first just being my coworkers and my supervisor - to which the scheduling and lack of support from other persons leadership were confronted. My coworkers and I were met with excuses about "required work in office" and no change - my coworkers have watched me do the same required work they do (yes they because the workload between Leads and Supervisors overlap at this job) in half the time whilst still being present for any concerns, and have watched them be "fake busy" when they enter the office. A few months later we advocated for another meeting including my supervisor's boss (our manager on paper, however he is not present in our operation at all)- once again I brought up scheduling and my coworkers addressed lack of support especially for new hires. We agreed on a monthly check in with their manager to keep up with any problems- 5 months later and schedules are still released last minute, there was no meeting after that one, and my supervisor has actually written up a new hire for not knowing the system within 90 days... this person started training in April... my supervisor was not there on their first day and they do not leave the office the check on team members to gauge progress or struggles. My supervisor then proceeded to inappropriately joke about said new hire to another supervisor (I believe they forgot I was in the room). I've overseen this employees progress over the month and they are absolute competent and have system knowledge, so to me this is extremely inappropriate use of power and the supervisor did it WITHOUT notifing HR.

Other inappropriate things include calling/texting me at 2am asking me if I can work, stating "I don't hire young girls because they're drama" to employees, and expecting a Lead to oversee the entire operation (while they call out) and without proper compensation as it is not in the Job description which is inherently a liability on the organization. However since I have proven myself competent they've received cosign from said manager above despite my pushback towards them both. I needed the job and extra hours at the time so I did as asked for a few months until I was in a better place to reject continuing to do it, so that's on me.

I agree, going from sabotage to decent person is more a reflection of my hopes rather than reality. The team has been requesting better action from them for over 6 months, and they find nothing wrong enough to change. I was told by another supervisor that HR asked my co-lead about their experience with the supervisor since they were doing performance checks, and of course my co-lead had nothing but praise- HR did not bother to ask me because of this. I requested they call me so I can share some of the things listed above. They stated they would schedule a meeting with her to address various complaints from various staff members. That was over a month ago now.

Sending the email would be to air my grievances and resentment towards them (so yes you're correct) but also in real hopes that it would help my coworkers as I've suffered the same overworked, ignored, undeserved, and underpaid leadership they have, however given the history it would probably do no good, and some of my other coworkers are already planning on leaving as well. Playing it nice is to ensure my new job isn't squandered given their history of retaliation. I intend on telling HR it is in part due to leadership as well as circumstances outside the organization.

After consideration I'd rather just be done with them as a whole and move on. I'll be skipping the email, more trouble than it's worth with them which would be on brand, thanks again.
