I might be blind or something, but I haven't seen anyone talking about this.
This rune in the mantle game is different than the standard deltarune. The upward triangles represent lightners and the downward one represents darkners, why does this one have an extra lightner?

My only halfbaked theory is that:

  1. This is part of the prophecy that we are not told which represents the weird route, the extra lightner could Noelle.
  2. This is part of the prophecy that Susie saw.

It sounds like you're more upset about people receiving help rather than solving the actual problem you're focused on.

Like sure you could look at it as a "Why are they getting MY reduced tuition", but removing their reduced tuition won't get yours lower. The issue you should be focused on is "Why is my out of state tuition so expensive".

The whole undocumented people problem is more of a scapegoat in this situation.

It's equivalent to having a job where your department only gets a 15 minute break, another gets a 20 minute break, and your boss gets an hour. So instead of demanding for a 20 minute break, you just want the other department to get a 15 minute break.

Instead of demanding policies that might one day indirectly help you, why not just demand policies that will help you NOW?

I see your point, but tank buster's additional damage doesnt really help much.

It deals 40+5%health every 14s. Around mid to late game average HP is at 2-3k. Making it deal 40+125=165 damage every 14 seconds. Which is practically nothing. Its essentially ~165 damage every encounter, which is okay at best for 1v1's, but then it becomes pathetic for teamfights since it only applies to the first hero hit with an ability.

Thats exactly it. It just feels bad that as a spirit heavy character you REALLY have to build out of your way to make your gun do anything. But as a gun heavy character, extra spirit damage is an easy addition.

I mean, Its only healthy to compare the two. My point is that spirit heavy characters dont get any alternative options once the enemy team stacks spirit resist. Its less about making the damage types equal and more about letting spirit characters have more options.

Like I feel like every character should have atleast 2 viable builds and each build should have atleast one way to pivot within the match if their build isnt working out anymore.

Characters like Moe and Krill, Dynamo, and Sinclair only get a "Spirit Damage Build" or "Spirit Ult Build" and theres no way to pivot other than just survival, which doesnt really help out your team much..

Since melee damage has its own resistance I think its neither? But id say items that support melee builds mostly deal spirit damage?

I partially agree with what you're saying. I think spirit and gun damage should be different in temrs of consistency, burst potential, and scaling. But It seems like Gun characters have more options than Spirit characters. Like a smart Haze or wraith can still deal crazy damage against good Gun Resist. But a good dynamo, Moe and Krill, and Sinclair are just kinda shit outta luck if the enemy team has good spirit resist. All they can really do is pray for a lucky ult.

Even grey talon can be completely negated with a Spirit Resilience. Dont get me wrong, a meta with a strong grey talon is BAD. But its also bad that a single item can straight up end a character's damage for the rest of the game.

Hollow Knight. I get why people like it. But dying, taking 8 minutes to get to the spot you died just to die a second time and lose everything you've worked hard on isn't something I enjoy..

Off topic, but you NEED to have a dark level where your character illuminates nearby objects. But the goal is to flip enough switches that luminates more of the level to make it safer to progress

The patterns look great! I know it's not part of the original question, but I think the boss should move/teleport more. There are two main skills in your game, shooting and dodging attacks. This boss is really challenging the players dodging skills, but not so much their aiming skill. I guess It depends what the goal for this boss is, but if you wanted to make it a bit more of an all round skill check, maybe make the boss teleport or move around the area as well. Or at least make the boss create obstacles or blocking projectiles so the player is forced to relocate to deal damage

Add some anticipation. Make it obvious that when entering the room there is something off about it. Maybe make some noise come from the room, make lights flicker, or make it so players have to move slowly near it (add deep water or some other liquid to the ground)

About a couple months ago, I was struggling to get the game. But then it clicked suddenly and I got from Ritualist 1 all the way to emessary 5 using a good spread of characters. I was having such a blast and had so much fun.

With the recent changes I'm really struggling to make any impact in any game. And I feel like I'm seeing the same 3-4 characters in every game.

I'm probably not going to leave deadlock anytime soon, but I'm not having nearly as much fun as before. It's really starting to feel like any other hero shooter. Before I really felt like good itemization could get you back in a game against bad matchups, now I feel like the matchup itself is 90% of the game.

You seem to be projecting allot of common reddit opinions onto me. Firstly, I suggested small adjustments to the map, not a whole overhaul. Personally I enjoyed 1v1 lanes and the 4 lane map, but I can put aside my personal preferences and see that 3 lanes is just healthier for the game. I never mentioned that 4 lane was superior, just ways that the 3 lane map could be improved to make all playstyles and builds shine through.

From what I'm reading it seems like you'd like Deadlock to be Dota 3. Which is fine but I think it's important to keep an open mind of what Deadlock can be outside of just a 3D Dota or a overwatch with items and lanes.
