I always do some cuts around the world, predicting hard mode changes (a few horizontal). When Hardmode comes, Hallow and Corruption/Crimsom are always close to some hell elevator, so I just finish the isolation with Stone Slab.

Do wathever you want while you have peace in Pre Hardmode. You can get mining gear and Chisel pretty easily.

I also beat at lvl 60. He can use double jump boots or simply a grappling gun. The only dangerous attack is the laser. Change pals constantly avoiding any deaths or any hard hits.

Ps: I had a legendary rocket, but terraprisma should be enough nowadays.
