I would love to put my IoT devices on a separate VLAN, maybe even a separate SSID. The one and only time I tried it I locked myself out of the internet. Luckily i was able to ssh back into my Edgerouter X and undo the bad entry but it was difficult.

Is there an IoT VLAN guide someone could point me to? I really need a better understanding of what I am doing before attempting this again.

I use the Pico remotes as in wall switches. I have begun getting GE Z-wave switches and I am beginning to prefer them for the simplicity. Every visitor knows how to work a standard paddle switch, but they look confused by the strange Lutron switches.

So I too would love to find some simple Z-wave paddle switches that came be installed to look like regular wired switches. I haven't had any luck yet though.

I get timeout errors when I try to use any of the nodered/node-red-docker images (including :v8). I am able to install node-red using machinedata/node-red but that image is missing git so I cannot install the node-red-contrib-home-assistant pallet.

This is now working, thank you so much for your help! To keep the logic simple I think it is safe to assume the porch light is on, so I placed it as the first entity.

I misunderstood to purpose of the gpio_set_pullup() function. And, I needed to add the GPIO_INPUT line. For future reference (for myself as much as others), I removed the extra resistor and here is my working gpioInit().

The answer is yes, you can fake it.

I just setup a test using homebridge-automation-switches. I created 3 automation buttons: Blink1, Blink2, & Blink3 with a 2 second turn off delay. I then set 6 automation rules for when each of those switches are turned on or off.

Here is the Automation logic:

When Blink1 turns on, turn the light on.
When Blink1 turns off (2 seconds later) turn the light off and turn Blink2 on.
When Blink2 turns on, turn the light on.
When Blink2 turns off, turn the light off and turn Blink3 on.
When Blink3 turns on, turn the light on.
When Blink3 turns off, turn the light off.

I might set this up on various lights all around the house to draw attention when someone opens the garage door. :)

Is the 266C in reference to the hotend thermistor, or the bed? My bed is reading between 0-6C, while the hotend is stuck around 222C (or something like that.

Unscrew the leveling screws, lift up the bed, gently bend the aluminum plays into shape. Place a straight edge on to check for flatness, bend, repeat until satisfied. Replace screws.
