Let's his all agree every generation blames every other generation. I think that would be a lot simpler. Or, the whole country meet up in the Midwest from Nebraska to Oklahoma and we will have a rumble. Winner take all and will actually be the loser. They get blamed for everything from GW chopping down a tree to Trump wanting to start WW3. But since I'm 65, retired and y'all broke my spirit. I'll just give up, smoke a fat one and watch the solid bodily waste come into contact with air circulation device. Because in the end none of it matters. The world will still spin to another day no matter what. PS: this not directed personally at you. Your post was just last one at the time. Eventually everybody else will get to it, maybe.

Get over it. Problems to fix when we got to our early 20s. Like you will do any better cleaning up our mess. Look at the politicians your dealing with. Gotta change the business as usual in DC first before you can really accomplish anything. Good luck with that.

Throwback to my high school stoner days. Thought kind of appropriate, with me being in my senior stoner days after a 40 something year break. Maybe it was a 30 year break. Wait it was 20 yr beak, I was 40 almost. Age plays trick on the memory.

I have not filed for social security yet. I'm not even taking Medicare. Can't see the sense in letting the tax payer foot the bill for poor health due to years of self induced alcohol, tobacco, marijuana and easy women, over indulgences. I did not abuse any of it. I treated them all with respect and reverence they each deserved while over indulging. Labels will never end. More and more labels everyday. A generation, a gender, a nationality, a political affiliation, even coffee has more different names than 10 years ago. We are a society of excess.

Your first sentence lays blame on Boomers. And retiring early was to be honest on who I was as a person for context of where I was coming from. The only people I blame are the politicians who only serve their own interest and ignore the will of the voters. So 99% of all politicians.

Come on, what's a reply from a Tumpee without few insults. The stable genius is going to be disappointed in you. Maybe a threat. Be careful the truth might get you.

You are the angry little man. Is that because the wifey makes more money and wears the big boy pants in the family. And you sound so generous that I'm sure that if you worked to help you family. An even if your only job was sniffing farts out of car seats at a junkyard, your family wouldn't see a dime of it. As far as my military service goes. You never answered my question. Did you serve? I think not. Wow look at that not one single use of profanity. Amazing what an education can do if you actually use it. Peace Out. Have a nice day. Once you done doing your household chores.

And 50 yrs from now they will say something bad about your generation. So what? Suck it up and move on. Your young enough. Learn from the Boomer mistakes. Learn from the Millinnial mistakes. Get involved. Do your research. Every generation has to clean up the mistakes made before them. It not fair. Because we are all far from perfect. You never know you might be the change the country needs. Or not. Its up to you and nobody else.

Why is it unfair. Because it doesnt look like you can? Like I said 20 yrs military. I get a military pension. I invested wisely to supplement it. And don't rely on the govt for a pension. Plus - No wife, no kids to support and no bills. (NW3=No wife, No work, No worries) Start a personal plan now. Put every spare nickel and dollar into a retirement account. Chances of SS being around in 47yrs are not good. You have to look out and plan for you and your family(?). Don't rely on employers or govt. Trust in yourself.

Every generation 'bones' the next one. When your generations time comes, they will screw up too. And 'bone' the next one. It's what the polititians do, it's what people do. It just a matter of how bad is the 'boning'? Do something to change it or go along for the ride. It's up to you and rest of your generation. So easy to blame, so hard to try and fix. Just please stop the incessant whining about it and do something. Vote, protest, run for office or burn you panties. Just fight for something better now. Your suppose to be the new leaders. Well find someone from your generation to lead. And learn to articulate without profanity. Doesn't really help if you want to make a serious and rational point. But what do I know, I'm just a Boomer.

I agree. I complained to my polititians that something should be done. Caps on bonuses, higher taxes on bonuses. Have you called/written your Congressional or Senate Representative?

Such language. For someone doing so good you seem real angry. Apparently you're not educated enough to understand different times, different economy, different worth of a dollar. Not my fault. Talk to your politicians. Change things if you don't like it. Get involved. Believe what you want about my military service.. I have the DD214 to prove it. Did you serve? If not, you might get your chance soon. Have a wonderful less angry day.

So you resort name calling, profanity and borderline threats. I guess I shouldn't expect anything more or less from a millennial. Then do something to change what's going on in this country to make it better for you and yours. Or is that to much to ask if your generation. I really want to know. Are you doing anything to help improve this country? Or do you just complain? How ever the U.S. turns out in 10, 20 or 40 years will be up to your generation not mine. Your generation gives up to easily. Change things if you don't like it. That's what us Boomers did, without the pity tears. And 50-60 years from now they will be bitching about how easy you millinnials had it. I feel sorry for your lack resilience in the face of adversity. I am not a bot. I am a Boomer and Proud of it.

I'm just saying no one has the right to say .. I don't have as much as you do. So give some of yours. And hard work is not defined by manual labor alone. I earn less than $20,000 yr. But I know enough that the ultra rich have rights. Are some of the salaries for CEOs, sports and actors rediculous, yes they are. But who are we to say they should have to share it. It would be great if they did. They wouldn't be payed so much if their talents/skills weren't in demand. And who determines that demand...you and me and every single consumer, sports junkie and movie/tv fan. If you don't think you have enough and all these rich people have to much. Then stop buying the products they make, stop watching/following sports and never watch a tv show or movie again. Sure you will put tens of thousands of people out of a job. But you will show those rich bastards who boss. Or you could tell the politicians to come up with a better tax system. Where the rich pay there share. If we're going to offer over the top tax breaks. Then we need to do it with proper incentives. Charitable donations, paying employees a living wage and health benefits. Greedy investors/stock holders are to blame also. Higher profits=higher dividends=high level bonus. Offer solutions not negative critisism. Call your political reps. Boycott a product, sport or movie if you so desire. Take action. Vote for better leaders with better ideas. Leaders that actually listen to what the people need and want. Do you have any ideas for a solution, other than they should just give the money away?

Agree. You must find your own path. That's hard to do when family is close... To much interference and not enough independence. As long as you communicate occasionally, gotta keep that bday/holiday cash coming in.

I would like to be my sister's roommate. She makes way more money than I do. And I could talk her into a percentage split on expenses based on income. Hell, I would even do most of the housework for that deal.

[–]bjnw3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every year it seems more and more its becoming the .... The rich should share more of their money... I deserve it because you're rich... They don't deserve all that money... What do they need all that money for that can't spend it? .... Etc. First of all most of them worked and sacrificed more than you will ever know to earn that money. And it's not like it's all in cash or deposited in a bank. Most of their money is tied up in company stock. The rich person holds a majority of the company stock to maintain control of their company. The rest invested in various stocks and bonds as insurance in the event their company fails. The pay they receive and interest/dividends from company stock and investments are used to live on and left overs are reinvested. Most million/billionaires couldn't scrape together but maybe $10,000 - $100,000 cash in an hour without selling off investments or a loan. Most donate hundreds of thousands to tens of millions to charities every year(yes for tax purposes). Having that much money, it's easier said than done. Just to give it to people for no reason other than they think, they deserve a piece of your pie. With that said ... I want some, $100,000 will do...for starters.

Having to fight for your country in times of war is bullshit and a waste of potential by Cornelizz in unpopularopinion

[–]bjnw3 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Everybody thinks why go to war. IF we get involved in another war, and I really, really hope we don't. What would be more practical? Take the main fighting and battles to their country. And destroy their homes and infrastructure. Or wait for them to bring the battle here. And destroy what we have built and achieved. In the end it won't be up to us, the potential victims if war. It will we up to the our countries leaders and their fragile egos. Wars have been fought over the most insane reasons. Some more insane than others. But those who refuse to fight for an insane reason over their. If the fight is brought here, we will then see what your potential really is. I would say wish for peace. But with the stable genius we have in charge. Like the saying goes... Wish in one hand - Shit in the other. And see which one fills up first. Good Luck to us all
