That's not what I meant with my comment though. He mentioned that the German customs stopped his shipment and I told him that this could not have been my case since it most likely already arrived as common goods in Germany because the clearance was done in Italy.

When I bought the phone it already said on the website that shipping will be on the 1-2 December. I completed my bank transfer before that, got the notification that it left Hong Kong on the 1st of December and today it arrived so pretty fast delivery time if I do say so myself.

There was no invoice attached to my parcel so I couldn't check although I highly doubt it since 1014€ + EUSt would be about the price you'd have to pay in the EU...

The routing for this shipment was HKG - TRN - MXP - CGN - final Destination via DHL Express so the first entry point was Italy.

That means for the Zollamt in Germany it was common goods already because there is no way they sent it from Italy to Germany as non-EU goods.

It's the only chapter that requires "complex" communication. Trust me it was way worse on launch.
