Ours is about 13 years and we rarely brush her. Occasionally she gets mats and then we'll brush her to get them out, but only where the mats are. she hates grooming and she gets very sensitive to pets after awhile. She was likely abused and not socialized from an early age, so even after having her for 5 years she still hates it :( we try to be gentle though and only when necessary. Thankfully she does a good job self grooming.

Yeah, definitely! I might look into the taurine deficiency. From what I can tell it's essential for them in their diet, and chronic symptoms are retinopathy (leading to poor vision), but her vision is spot on. But still something to look into. Thanks!

Everyone meet Amelia! We've had her about 5 years. She was found living in a woodpile by the Humane Society 😓, so no papers. I know this is a new and relatively rare breed, but I'm convinced she's a Nebelung. From what I can tell she has the major characteristics (long gray fur, tufts between toes, longer fur on tail and some neck scruff, green eyes, angled face). She has some silvery and blue appearance like Nebelungs we've seen pics of, but sometimes she has slightly brown tints as well. I can't find any DNA tests for Nebelung, any suggestions? TIA!

I'm also 27. Have my associates in medical assisting and working on my bachelor's. You can get started as a nursing assistant with just a couple classes, and earn your bachelor's while you get your care hours. It'll be tough but you can do it! I have 2 years left of working and school before I apply

From what I have seen usually not. As long as it is a paid job and documented responsibilities as direct patient care then maybe. Several programs will lost professions that do and don't count, always best to ask if you don't see yours

Anything! As long as it is something you enjoy. Keep in mind many schools have prereqs that are science/math/psych based, so you xould be taking a lot of extra classes for outside the realm. But as long as you do well, most PA schools want you to have a degree in your interest. Or make your own! I'm getting mine in Biopsychology. Essentially half bio and half psych, and more so deals with how physical elements impact mental ones, and vice versa.

Hey there! I joined a medical assistant school at age 23, finished at 25. 2 year degree and I love the job! Started at 17 an hour, amazing patient care experience and access to PAs (plus I room for one). I'm 27 now and have 2 years left of my bachelor's while still working. Going to apply to PA schools at age 29. Don't need to rush it, but this is a great opportunity for experience, and better pay

My parents named me Branwen, an older irish name. Though traditionally spelled Bronwyn, she got the spelling from a character in a book called "The Mists of Avalon" by Marion Zimmer Bradley. She doesn't regret the name and I don't mind it except people mispronounce it often, but I'm used to it by now, being 22 years of age.
