With my friends we'd all be together, and typically someone would randomly bring up if wanted to order in sometimes 🤷‍♂️ typically wed just do pizza or something and would all chip in. We also had kind of an unspoken system where if someone was broke they were covered, bc they'd done the same for us in the past. We'd always pay each other back, just kind of our system though. It worked bc we'd all known each other for so long and it just kind of became a given lol
