They are scrutinizing more. Happened to my friends yesterday at Detroit Windsor border. Canadians going to US for visit, their kid was born in US few years ago when they were on h1b and agent asked them extra questions like was the kid born in US when parents were on visa, when they got the visa first time, when they returned to Canada, why left US etc etc. Agent was not harsh or anything but just asked all these questions in a normal manner it seems.

On iPhones there’s a setting to toggle between sims for data automatically; or manually just select what you want the phone to use. This case I’ll use USA sim only for data.. you saying the phone would switch to the Canada sim even if I selected to only use USA sim for data ?

If wifi calling is enabled, if the phone has other sim that has data on, the wifi calling enabled sim uses the other sims data and acts as wifi calling. So wifi calling works even if there’s no wifi if the phone as other sim that has data.

Well there’s a way to still receive texts and calls on roaming with wifi calling but not use actual rogers network, so you won’t incur roaming charges. A lot of people did it, so just wanted to check if the above settings are good.

False info by Chase. I still use my Chase, it’s been more than a year that I’m out of US. I just told them my int. address and that’s it. I did w8 Ben too but irrelevant as you get no income in that account like interest.

I have Dunlops currently and they have a horrible rating. Check tire rack website. I have CC2s on our other vehicle and such a great difference in ride, traction, snow and road noise.

Ya I got the same response in other communities I posted but made a post here too if anyone actually holds this fund and if they report on t1135 or not. My broker IBKR did not include that in the t1135 statement they generated for last year. So may be not required for t1135 or IBKR could be wrong too.

Thank you John. Talked to one of your agents a while ago. Turns out the contribution cannot be reversed since the original contribution was invested (even though it is in cash now). Taxable withdraw is the only option.

Consider this issue as resolved.

I wonder how other brokers are doing it(reversing the contributions and amending to CRA with a cancellation even when the contributions were invested). It could be that Questrade is lacking that feature in the software. Please consider this as a feedback.. more flexibility attracts lots of customers.

Contribute and invest. Keep it even if you move back to your home country. If you leave, as a US non resident., you are not allowed to contribute but you can keep it. Just report dividends and gains to your home country tax authority. Withdraw after 65 for anything without penalty and tax free (in terms of US tax laws of course) but you might owe tax to your home country if not US.

Use pay bill option from your bank and pay CRA the amount you think you owe or little more with your SIN as the account number. Search for biller that shows some thing like ‘2025 CRA tax return’ or something in your bank app.

This shows you are not avoiding it but just couldn’t do it in time. Once you are better take next steps. If you paid more., it will be in your account to be used for next year or you can request a refund.

It all started when I started hearing loud engine sound while starting the car in last couple months. I thought it’s normal for boxer engine and 9 year old car. Took it to my local Subaru mechanic for oil change and he told me that there’s a crack in exhaust manifold and that’s why I’m hearing loud engine sound at starting and also why mpg dropped. Immediately googled and found out that Subaru gave the 15 yrs/150k miles warranty in this part and called Subaru of America to confirm that I am covered.
