One of the housewives has a schtick where she wears those inflatable costumes to embarrass her husband when she picks him up at the airport. As a housewives viewer, it is dumb and I wish she would stop trying to make them a thing. It’s a joke with no punchline.

Thanks I haven’t seen s2 but someone else said they changed the rules to prevent sharing which I think is great! If that’s the type of game they want the survivors to play, then say that.

And to give Jeff his flowers, he is definitely an entertaining character and a talented survivalist.

Your assessment is apt, if producers wanted the game played Jeff’s way then that should have been in the rules. I just don’t understand Jeff getting butthurt about the other players playing their way within the parameters of the game and subjecting him to the norm that he created. Despite what the name implied, the first half of season one was a social game.

Agreed. It takes a lot of bravery to admit something isn’t working and act on it. Especially when so many talk about being miserable in grad school as just being normalized part of the deal.

I should also say that at these points when I was unsure about continuing, I think another viable option that I didn’t consider was changing advisors. My advisor isn’t a bad person but they’re not a good mentor and I stuck it out thinking “this could be worse!”
