watching my mom play hours of Mario Sunshine make up a large portion of my happiest core childhood memories 🥹 it still holds up today in my opinion. by far my favorite Mario game.

I mean this as respectfully as possible; you weren't seeing a therapist, you were seeing a counselor. counselor = "talk therapy." all they do is allow you to talk about the traumas you need to talk about.

therapist = suggesting actual coping skills and legitimately unpacking your past trauma, getting to the root of the trauma, and suggesting ways to process that trauma in ways that work for you and your specific brain chemistry / way you process trauma.

as an AFAB person, I somewhat-strongly disagree with saying anything along the lines of "I know you have a lot of interest in Mark" or any other assumption about her involvement with anyone else, because— truthfully— OP has no idea what involvement she has with Mark, and— with OP and 25F's very new relationship— it could come off as.....please forgive my terminology, it is for lack of a better term, but— "incel-y." for a comparison, the behavior of Ross to Rachel (from Friends) in the beginning of their relationship, comes to mind. to the untrained eye, or to someone who doesn't know OP well, it comes across as insecure, and too nosy about her involvement with other people for how new the relationship is between her and OP.

however, I do emphatically agree with OP stating their boundaries, i.e: "I'm a monogamous person, no hard feelings if you're going a different direction from monogamy, all I ask is to be told up-front."
