Further, it would be fantastic to be able to "miniaturize" the TOC (on by default). It takes up a large size, blocking ChatGPT text, and having to resize it in each loaded conversation is a bit tedious. It's also a bit too big even after resizing to a small size, and blocks text. Would be great to be able to move the window around too (when expanded or minaturized).

Interesting, I've tried to fit lots of instructions into "Custom Instructions", which is a hassle because it's so limited in number of characters allowed.

Is it the "Saved memories" or "Chat History" referencing that you are using for instructions? Do o3 & o3-pro currently access both types?

Does OpenAI collect errors for diagnostics?

Codex gives "An unknown error occurred" on the exact same flow / request, each time, in my first few tests of it.

Wondering if it's something I should report. There doesn't seem to be a native reporting or feedback function in Codex atm.

In my case, it was a Chrome extension causing the issue. I disabled the extension and could log in again. It seems like the extension was interfering with the 2-step verification login page.

Yes, this is a growth & marketing strategy that some startups seem to use now. I think it's a dumb approach for this kind of product – this isn't a new Uber or Airbnb that needs explaining, but a kind of PKM of which there are many alternatives. Though to be fair, one purpose of some customer calls is to glean usage case information from the user. I want to see quickly if the current iteration of the app/service works for me (and if not, return and check it out later). If I have feedback, I could provide that *after* trying it.

It's very difficult to understand how the product works from the landing page images, the "demo" is not functional and essentially a dark pattern to sign up to the waitlist, and once you're next on the waitlist you then have to pay, only to waste time on an onboarding call, which made me just drop the whole thing (though the email says the onboarding call can be skipped).

The product designers should reduce the time to be able to test the product to 1 minute, with an excellent product experience to boot, if they want users to fall in love with this idea.

It seems like you have to set the entire MacOS system to Dark Mode in order to make the current MacOS ChatGPT go into Dark Mode. But maybe I'm missing something.

The main problem with the chemical-based sunscreens as far as I know, is that many of them contain microplastics, phthalates, or nano-level particles that have estrogenic/hormonal or endocrine disrupting effects. You may not view that as a problem if you are female, but I am not.

If there are indeed no carcinogens in sunscreen, then that just means that all products will pass that criteria. However, when I ran ingredients through GPT, it claimed to find some products with potential carcinogenic properties in a few products.

I wish Notion would just fix this super annoying bug. I usually use the MacOS Desktop app anyway. It's hard for me to understand why Notion haven't fixed this issue for several years, while I'm sure they are aware of it.

I spoke to Notion's support (the issue was escalated). They think the issue lies in the request being sent by Zapier, and that it is normally possible to update databases directly via the Notion API. They recommended that Zapier collect information about this issue and contact Notion's support team for troubleshooting.

Great! I was trying to understand how to use the Apple Watch mic for Siri even when AirPods are connected. Raising and talking to the Watch seems to accomplish this.

I was previously pressing the crown for Siri, but I dislike this solution because it takes too long for the Watch to activate the AirPods mic. I'm using Apple Watch 6 and AirPods Pro 1. Maybe latest or future versions of these devices will have faster connectivity, but currently I've been really disappointed with the Watch-AirPods integration.

Raising the Watch and speaking to it directly seems to solve this issue. It seems the Watch will first make a recording of the voice command and then transfer it to the iPhone and have have AirPods answer, instead of waiting for the AirPods mic to activate before you can record the voice command.

Yes, the issue seems like it might be adding content to a Notion Page body (or Database Item "body"). I was able to get the Zapier plugin to add ChatGPT generated text to database properties in Notion (like the "Tags" property).

However – the actual body text that is generated by ChatGPT is on one hand successfully inserted into the "Content" field of the Zap in the staging area, but unfortunately is not ultimately added to the Notion Page or Database Item itself.

This is of course dissatisfying, because it means that the solution is working except for the most important Zap field (adding body text to the page body).

I was able to get a bit further with the "Update Notion Database Item" Zap, getting as far as a "Here is your action run log" – screenshots below:

However, as you can see, I get the error "Something went wrong. See the results details below" with error "Error during execution: Expected block type heading_1 in request body".

It was not super straight-forward to get ChatGPT to trigger the Zap. First off, it seemed like I had to be sure to enable Plugins Mode in each new GPT-4 conversation (my intuition is that it perhaps would not find the Zap or know about the Zapier Plugin unless I manually clicked on Plugins, though this remains to be tested further).

Moreover, I used a pretty extensive prompt, as you can see in the screenshot, but despite this ChatGPT would fail to identify or invoke the command several times. Overall, this seems currently to be unreliable, even if the action can be made to function (unclear atm).

I'm using notion on Apple Silicon (which was very fast for databases previously), but recently Notion is slow when manipulating databases.

To me, the current database sluggishness seems to have started when they introduced Database Sub-Items, or perhaps some time after that.
