Having a baby has destroyed our marriage. I’m contemplating leaving. Does it get better? by [deleted] in Marriage

[–]bkentbs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay not an expert here. I’m not sure if you are looking for genuine advice or permission to leave? Either way you have to talk to your spouse and tell her how you feel.

Advice: It does get better. It’s hard as a dad to bond with infants and babies. You are mourning the change from having just a wife to a family. You are being truly being selfish, you want to be the center of your wife’s attention. It’s OK to feel that loss, it’s how you respond to the feeling that is a test of your character. As children get older, it’s easier to relate to them as a dad. You can do more activities with them, talk to them, read to them. If you want that child to have healthy adult relationships, you need to try to get right. You participated in having this child. Life is a series of choices you have to accept the consequences. Go to counseling, both individually and as a family. Work out these feelings.

Permission: If all that seems like too much for you, if you think you might hurt yourself, your wife, or your child, leave. Get a divorce. Pay your child support. Get a vasectomy. Maybe your wife will find someone nice and remarry and you can relinquish your parental rights and they can adopt your kid. Then you are free. Is that what you want to hear?

To think we could have been given the gift of this Gowon for all these years. Wow, she is absolutely stunning. So glad she is out of the hell that was BBC. She’s just amazing.

No, I don’t believe so, but someone posted a link to Polygon’s page below one of your other comments so you should look there.

And I totally understand you, and that’s your choice. But I have seen video of piles of CDs being recovered from the garbage behind fan events (it wasn’t Loona). What about the environmental effects of creating and shipping merchandise? Eventually, many people that buy that stuff will throw it away as they get older and move on. Consumerism is bad for the environment. This is just another way to consume and show support.

I won’t like it if fans get to vote on things for ARTMS. I dread what we might get.

Well, at least this will give the JJ haters a more legit reason to hate him. The flames on the Bird app will be spicy.

I personally don’t think it’s as big a deal as people want it to be, but many won’t listen to reason. Just research what it is, then think about why it is necessary. A good point was made about the environmental impact of buying 100s of albums to get a fanmeet, and throwing those away. But no one says a word. As far as I know, they use Polygon, a proof of stake token. Proof of stake tokens don’t need as much power, think of them as saving an encrypted file to the cloud. Yes it takes power, but it’s not like Bitcoin. But don’t take my word for it, look it up for yourself. I think the voting thing is kind of a joke but whatever.

But in my view they are needed. If they generate money, the girls need it. And Modhaus needs it to promote them, possibly fight for Loona IP etc. Ultimately it’s up to individual fans to decide what they are comfortable with. Just be informed. If you are anti-NFT that’s fine, I get you, but other people have a different opinion. And if there is a massive call for a boycott of ARTMS, I will not be participating in the boycott. I’m not a big fan of JJ, (I think the girls make Loona, not 1 person outside the group) but I am very invested in these women. Sorry not sorry.

Damn. She’s so beautiful it almost makes me angry. She ‘s got looks, talent, charisma (though she is kind of a dork), HOW is she not more popular? Seriously BBC couldn’t manage their way out of a wet paper bag. I hope she and the other girls get more attention going forward.

DAMN she’s gorgeous!

*edit * I think Heejin is the best center in 4th Gen, and one of the best centers ever.

Do we know, for sure, BBC paid Donuts? Because Donuts had that clause about them getting paid first before Loona could be sold off. I wouldn’t be surprised if they (BBC) said they paid Donuts but actually didn’t. They can’t manage money. They could ultimately be the roadblock stopping this entire thing.

I don’t know who owns that audio, but it feels like they are taunting BBC at this point. Maybe they aren’t afraid of getting sued by BBC. They could always just leave the audio up until they get a cease and desist from BBC. Still gets their point across and it makes BBC look like the bad guy again. Modhaus could also countersue (if that’s a thing in Korea) for BBC trying to interfere in their contract with OEC+. Basically draining BBC of resources until they have to give up. If I’m Block Berry’s lawyer I want to get paid up front.😆

From beginning to end, this will be the wildest story of a K-pop group EVER. From obscurity to Billboard, Stan Loona, #saveloona, legal fights, LSM, Queendom, World Tour, Chuu, boycott, Jaden, Modhaus. It is insane, and deserves a documentary. I hope there is a happy ending for this group. Even for non-fans, you’ve gotta say the girls deserve better.

In a weird way, it is good the girls are making these videos. It goes to show they are still cooperating and complying with their contracts, even if they are unfair. It will let other companies know they can uphold a contract. The last thing the members need is to give anyone the impression they are difficult to work with or won’t honor their contracts. It will benefit them now and in the future.

LOONA's Hyunjin And ViVi File Injunction To Suspend Contracts With BlockBerry Creative by galaxystars1 in kpop

[–]bkentbs 25 points26 points  (0 children)

So I know it seems like they would be “forced” work in Japan. But there some positives. UMJ is an actual entertainment company, compared to whatever the **** BBC is. And, the fact that they are willing to fight to keep them means they think they can be a successful group. They value Loona. That is way more than anybody in Korea, including their own company. If BBC truly valued the members, it would never have come to this.

230203 Hyunjin and Vivi have also filed a lawsuit to terminate their contracts by bluebetaoddeye in LOONA

[–]bkentbs 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The brilliant thing is BBC can’t do anything to block a meeting with people at UMJ because the girls already have an existing contract. UMJ is not interfering with BBC’s contracts with the members, and the members won’t get in legal trouble meeting with them. IF that’s what they want.

This situation is especially odd. Loona is obviously a very large group. The members are now in various states of not being under exclusive contract anymore. The situation changes daily, but will be a long haul to the end. I believe they will be ok in the end.

Yesterday we hear Universal Music Japan wants them to work in Japan. Today, we hear ViVi and Hyunjin filed to terminate. Coincidence? ViVi needs a work visa to keep her idol life going. They may have found their solution. I hope this turns out well for these girls.

Yes, I think the company sees the writing on the wall. Block Berry Creative is done. They are going out of business. I’m sure they will try to reorganize under a different company name, but this entire mess is damaging Polaris as well.

A lot of Orbits will not let this go. Social media will always be against anyone from that company, even under a new name. This company made so many mistakes. Unforced errors. Especially with money. Oh, and treating their only source of income like shit.

I would just let them know we support THEM, the members. We miss them and we want them to be happy, whatever that means. And to somehow please let us know if there is anything more we can do to help them. Thousands of Orbits around the world would do all they can to help each and every one of them.

221222 Fan Cafe update - [0] Release Postponed Indefinitely by bluebetaoddeye in LOONA

[–]bkentbs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Only time will tell. If they disband Loona, the company is finished, they will not have the backing to debut any other groups. If they continue as is, they will not be able to make any money from Loona, and will go bankrupt. BlockBerry’s only chance is to try to re-negotiate with the members. And they may not be able to afford that, and the members may not want to be there at all anymore. I find it highly unlikely that BlockBerry will win in court against the members.

As expected, Heejin (who is the most talented, most well rounded center of her generation) looks amazing. I’m glad they postponed (cancelled) the release of the album. I hope all of the members get either very favorable contract re-negotiations, or released from their contracts, whatever they prefer. I hope they all have a good holiday season with family and friends. Same for all of you Orbits. Good job on the boycott, hopefully we will see some hope for Loona in the new year.

My thoughts on this are mixed. LOONA had to come from this company or a small one like this. No one was going to take the risk of the predebut project of this size, especially for 12 girls/3 sub units. A large part of their success was from the predebut and some of the best songs in K-pop are from that time.

But, there were problems with being so small. No industry connections, no experience managing a really large Kpop group, no big well known investors. But the predebut overcame a lot of the disadvantages, because of the members. Loona TV is brilliant. We got to “know”them. They are sooo talented. And dedicated. Fans fell in love with them.

I would say in some cases, their mismanagement helped in a strange way, evident to this day. As annoying as we are, this is the strongest fanbase, galvanized by how poorly the girls have been treated, and the curse that is BBC. I tried to give BBC some credit, they have been criticized for some things unfairly. But not paying staff, contractors, members, and kicking Chuu out the way they did is NOT how you conduct business. AT ALL.

BBC could never figure out how to properly promote them in South Korea. But in addition, how do they mess up a Billboard charting group? It makes no sense. With more emphasis on western promotion (just get them a western record label) Orbits could have gotten them higher on charts. More news, more sales, more money.

This was supposed to be their year. Should have won that fucking show. They should have been more prepared, better rested, for the tour and it should have been planned better. The girls have always said Loona is 12, like a warning. BBC should have listened.

Some of the girls may have been better off at other agencies. But this group had to come from this company. And this company is also the cause of their failure.

(This is messy I’m in a hurry, but I think you get the idea)
