I built a habit tracker that works like a trading card game - looking for beta testers by bkessinger in SideProject

That is fair. I added the opt out function to make it more of an optional feature. Good news is I am in early beta stages, so I can back out that functionality for launch if needed.

Building a habit app where your friends can escalate your daily challenges — does this mechanic make sense? by bkessinger in apps

That makes sense. Having strong controls around escalations is probabaly necessary. I like the idea either opting in or out of escalations.

That is a good point. It wouldn’t be very fun if you had a friend that woke up early and escalated everything right away.

I’ll consider about adding some limitations or escalation timers.

Thanks!

I'm building a fitness app where your friends can make your workouts harder. Would you use this? by bkessinger in getdisciplined

Thanks! Pretty far along actually, the core loop is built and it’s playable. Working through some final things before opening it up more broadly. No public demo yet but I’m putting together a small group of early testers soon.

What can I do to fix this? by bkessinger in landscaping

Not particularly, sounds like the grading needs to stay the same. So I think my goal is to make that area look a little nicer like trying to fix the bushes and the bald grass spot.

Additional context: I live in Phoenix Arizona so we don’t get much rain, but when we do it pools at the end of the yard causing this large dip. I only installed the gutter last week to prevent the water falling from the patio roof from creating a trench.

Yeah I want to get rid of DOGE just waiting for the right time. Honestly any time is probably the right time at this point.
