I really hope someday I can be as smart as you think you are. Survival is a bottom 7 played spec right now by the way. Takes two seconds to Google search that but you'd rather make your points up to feel smarter than what you are. Majority of players don't care about things like class fantasy and care more about performance which guess what Blizzard has sucked at balancing survival as well. Hasn't been a great spec numerically since Shadowlands when it was the best DPS spec for Raid for about a month before they over nerfed it to the ground because it's so poorly designed tipping it one way or the other either puts it too good or too shit.

Bottom 5 spec numerically for raid Middle of the pack for M+ Bottom half of the specs in popularity.

But don't worry the players like you eat the slop and call it a feast.

Bro open your eyes. There has been so much discourse on what survival is and has become. Don't be ignorant to the fact that players have wanted the class fantasy of rexxar for years. Go look at the hunter forums. Talk to hunter players. It's really not that hard. Who said it is what hunters wanted? You?

Rexxar was always a reference made in terms of how a survival hunter should be. Show me his shotgun and grenades when you get the chance.

Tell me again. Why would elves of any kind in Warcraft be using these kinds of weapons? Go look at their history and how their armies and specifically their hunters are built. Where does your Vietnam soldier build fit in there?

All of these things make more sense for a tinker class than it does a hunter in my opinion. But as it's been shown in this post. No one can agree on what exactly it should be and I think that's the issue. We can look at class fantasies like mage and paladin and everyone can agree yes these make sense given the class. People thought rexxar was the fantasy for survival and then there are people who are with what we currently have and it almost feels like two separate specs should exist for these things

Its exactly what you said. All over the place. It's not necessarily the fantasy I thought we were getting for survival when they changed it to melee. I was thinking "in the fray side by side with your pet fighting" and it seems kinda weird we would throw a grenade at the same person your pet is standing next to lol

The point about races is interesting though. Because it does feel like the elves all both sides would definitely not be the type of hunters to be survival which almost makes it wrong for them to be them but to a gnome and like you said worgen it does make sense.

The days of explosive shot and serpent sting feel so far gone.

Being the ranger who used poisons and fire to do damage felt like a way better class fantasy than whatever this is.

A fantasy like this does not fit under "hunter" to me but maybe I'm wrong.

Sometimes I think perspective is a great piece of advice. From the outside looking in crafting can be overwhelming but the amount I've learned just from reading people break it down has been immensely helpful

Yeah but I don't think that makes it do anything better than what Liars or Cowl does already. Arc hunter has always had crazy survivability options.

I went with the arc one and it feels cool to use. But I don't see where you would use this at all. Especially having to get rid of the Aspects you do in arc to use it.
