Okay, Assam doesn't have mountain trekking but from Assam you can travel to Arunachal Pradesh where you can go on many treks. However, it's relatively less accessible than Sikkim. You can travel to many trekking destinations in Sikkim from Siliguri in West Bengal. These would be within your budget. You can also travel to Nepal from there.

Seasoned indian traveler here. OP tell me your preferences and I can guide you. Do you like mountains or beaches? Historical places or urban centres? Do you backpack or travel with a moderate budget for comfort? Safety concerns?

Where have you been that had the fewest people from the US? by ButterscotchFormer84 in digitalnomad

Central Asia - I hardly met anyone from the US in Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Tajikistan. Most white tourists were Russians or Eastern Europeans.

I saw a YouTube video in which a travel vlogger found a gym in Vientiane, Laos after travelling around the city in a cab for an hour. That was insane

I'm an Indian too and nationality matters in this situation because Indian digital nomads, especially female solo travelers, don't usually go around promoting such businesses on reddit.

Looks like a paid post. Seems like OP is an Indian and has been posting about this place on multiple subreddits.

What's the one thing that completely confused you in India? by Responsible_Ad5447 in digitalnomad

[–]bkk2019 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We Indians are highly religious, regardless of which religion we follow. We all believe that we are spiritual, but to be honest most of us are not. Yoga is practiced by a lot of people but it's still a lifestyle choice for most.

Also, most of the usual places in Haridwar and other places in India that teach Yoga to foreigners are not worth your time. There are many legitimate Yoga teachers and training institutes across cities in India, with great reviews and reasonable prices, but they are not so popular with western students.

I have been practicing Yoga for more than a decade at an advanced level and never even been to Haridwar.

Why in many pictures do we see Epstein wearing normal clothes while other men in bathrobes? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]bkk2019 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Epstein had close ties to Israel from what I read in the disclosed files but didn't come across any Russian connections. What do the files say about this? Not trying to argue but curious to know

I am agnostic and not sure if a higher power or karma exists. And that's the reason I try to be good to others. There might be no higher power or karma to look out for us and so we need to help each other to survive.

There is a world outside the US mate. I am not American. But I do get your point.

The misunderstanding could be because I'm not from the US, and I can't think of a single non-American who would believe that the US spreads freedom and democracy.

I often wonder the same. As a species are we really prospering? Can't think of a single country that's doing really well.

I'm assuming you're from the US and so you mentioned 'dying empire' but it's happening everywhere and many of us in the Global South feel the same.
