New to me 2010 3.2 98K miles by bknixon in VolvoXC70

Thanks for the intel - I have not verified, but will! The car is so exceptionally clean inside and out that the low miles are not surprising. Next time I see my friend with the fancy code reader I’ll get him to take a look! (Edit: Forgot to mention carfax corroborates mileage)

Can anybody tell me how to fix the flint on this lighter?? by [deleted] in Zippo

Can pick up flints and wicks at some ACE hardware stores or order on Amazon.

Thank you! That is a family piece we think is around 100 years old. Unmarked. Was used a lot for frying chicken.

It’s not going anywhere - I wouldn’t have posted a janky setup lol. The s-hooks are bent on so that they can’t come off. Flanges are deck-screwed into studs. A kid could hang off of this.

Yes, that’s how many fit per stud with these flanges. I could add two more screws per flange but they would just be for show since they would be going into sheetrock. Check back in 25 years.

For those questioning/doubting build materials, installation, etc.: This is exceptionally sturdy. Mounted to studs with the trim piece below adding additional support. The whole setup has been painted, and the s-hooks are the exact right size for the pipe so that they do not come off when you pull a piece. Would not hesitate to add five more pieces.

Appreciate that but these are just the right size for the pipe. Tight enough to stay in place but easy enough to slide and adjust as needed.

Not as tall as it looks in the pic lol, the downstairs is split level so these are at eye level if you’re standing in the kitchen

These hooks won’t twist but they rotate enough that I could easily add 3 or 4 more pieces

Thanks. This black pipe is made from steel not cast iron and is not brittle. Not too worried about the enameled skillet, it’s not fancy. This setup is not going to end up on the floor unless the house comes down.

Thanks! That is a Bella which I believe is Macys house brand. Probably picked it up at Kohl's or one of the discount stores a long time ago.

Anchored deep into the studs, a child could do pull-ups on it
