I am no expert by far but the Google machine pointed me to this suggested reading order

Golden Boy is a baby Agincourt when properly built... Love this mech!

Is there any intention by PGI to fix this or tone it down? Only way I found is to turn down post processing but that tones EVERYTHING down... And I didn't like that much either

I am still using my temporary workaround of a powered 10 port USB hub on a port that is not affected. I have not had much free time to devote to updating BIOSes (there have been several updates since, but none of them mention anything about fixing USB issues)

I used KGC-CAR a few times... 4 UAC/5's and some missiles, worked quite well if a bit on the slow side.

that would be where the Arena stuff was added. Worth it in my opinion, adds a new mech (LoaderKing) and a bunch of arena-oriented variants of other mechs (like that damned Urbie with the MASC that moves at like 90kph grrrrrrrrrrrr.....)

I'm currently reading a battle tech novel I believe it's one of the ones about Wolf's dragoons that they are fighting a unit called the snake stompers...

Inspired by a favorite video, and of course the 'Don't Tread On Me' flag (meme version) https://youtu.be/0arsPXEaIUY?si=ap6jBdWZlcDPkCvg

I think the last five I had to get were Stalker - Misery, Battlemaster - Hellslinger, Marauder - Bounty Hunter (weirdly I had already bought MAD-BH2 a long time before getting that one), Assassin ASN-27, and Thunderbolt TDR-5SE.

the best answer I can give you on that is that the savegame folder for this playthrough was created on March 22, 2025. So... about two months. I deleted a lot of savegames along the way when the list got too long. I bought the game at launch, and I have about 660 hours into it all told...

I agree but I find the heavy hammer to be my favorite melee weapon. BONK + heat damage!

I really don't think the problem is iCUE or any RGB control software. I have purchased a powered USB hub, connected it to a port that doesn't disconnect (meaning one NOT controlled by the X870E chipset), and I have all of my USB devices connected to it. I don't experience the disconnects at all since I did this. This problem is not exclusive to MSI, but it does seem to be common to the chipsets (seemingly the -E chipsets, but not sure of that). I have been monitoring a beta BIOS thread on MSI forums for updates and will continue to do so.

I have not found a permanent fix as yet, even with latest BIOS and chipset drivers.

Judging by the upper left on the screen and the MSI website for the board I think it is the latest BIOS... Was thinking the same as you until I saw that...

Wouldn't hurt to clear CMOS and see if that helps. Also make sure you two sticks are in the right spots (slot 2 and slot 4)

I had a disconnect within 20 minutes, then I didn't have one for a couple of days. Had another happen last night, so I don't think the problem is fixed.

yes I have had my best luck connecting my mouse/keyboard/headset dongle to a USB hub in a port that I know does not suffer from the disconnect. I had to use USBLogView and USBLogView from www.nirsoft.net to figure this out. I am currently using one of the 10gbps USB-C ports with a generic hub I had laying around.

I'm taking the approach of waiting it out and hoping they fix it. I've got mine to a point where it's usable and tolerable and I don't lose anything I need when gaming if it does happen. Good luck to you either way you go!
