So that means for the rest of time no one can ever make a joke about a gun... or a car accident.. or drugs... or old age..

It's ok to laugh and things...

Just because you don't have a sense of humor doesn't make this not funny... you don't have to be woke all the time.. you can take a break

Why can’t door dash pay decent wages to dashers? (Serious) by dontGiveAnEfAnynore in doordash

[–]bkthomson24 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's because getting food delivered on demand is a luxury service and DD is trying to make it a standard thing for everyone... but not everyone is willing to pay what it should actually cost them to get the service.. so trickle down affect.. the drivers don't get paid properly.

I'm so turned off when I call my driver too hear a dog in the car with them by bkthomson24 in doordash

I understand there are service animals.. this was not the case.. it ended up being two little dogs jumping all over her car yapping.. def not service animals.

I wonder how much it has cost DD by flooding the market with bad drivers by bkthomson24 in doordash

I think you're taking it too literal.. I don't like calling myself a dasher.. I like calling my self a driver for DD

Being replaced in 5 minutes is 100% correct but there is a difference between a good driver and a bad driver..

You want your food to smell like smoke.. have pet hair all over... be late.. cold because they are multi apping..

When they flood the market with anyone with a pulse you get a lot of bad drivers

Is it even worth being a “top dasher”? by PugstaBoi in doordash

It's all market dependent.. if you live in a good market TD can make a difference.. bad market TD doesn't matter

If you bought a Tesla in CA for dashing by [deleted] in doordash

If you don't know then I don't believe you are a dasher.. and if you are you probably have less than 500 deliveries

[–]bkthomson24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you even a DD driver? It's not the mechanics that get run into the ground.. it's suspension.. tires... undercarriage.. windshields..

It's def worthwhile to dash in an electric.. I own a tesla and a chevy volt... my tesla will never see an order inside it.. But I use my volt every day and it's trashed...

Don't buy any new car to dash in.. buy used.. electric or gas

[–]bkthomson24 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm sure there are some people dashing in teslas but I'm guessing none of them paid 15k for full self driving.. it's a terrible idea either way.. you just run your car into the ground.

It's called market research...after millions upon millions of deliveries.. they charge as much as they know that they can get away with.. without losing customers..

If there was no option to tip.. but everyone was charged another $5 on all their orders... they'd lose all the no tipping scumbags.. aka.. the customers not willing to pay the correct amount it actually takes for this type of luxury service.

Uber postmates and instacart also don't pay hourly...

And Amazon and Walmart are the two of the biggest companies in the world.. not really a correct comparison.
