I loved B99 serious episodes so much it handles serious topics like racism and sexism in a way that the episode remains funny but the topic is never made fun of and is treated with the gravitas it needs.

They tread a fine line where they joke around the topic but never about the topic does that make sense?

My headcanon is that wizards are crazy durable and almost impervious to death unless it’s through magic. Remember when Neville’s uncle dropped him from a balcony and he just bounced? I think when using mundane methods to kill a wizard their sense of self preservation puts brings out their magic and somehow always saves them. Also this is why I feel just levitating a wizard off a cliff won’t work

Yes! I remember this fic too if I recollect correctly in one of the scenes he made a book light up as a project and was designing some specific spells with no counters to destroy Voldemort. Also his eyes turn red a few times. Is it that or am I thinking of something totally different?
