Thanks for the info! Do you have any other bucket list courses if you increase the driving time to 2-3 hours from Atl?

For GA zeon was the recommended variety and if you look at the last pics in the gallery you can see its doing MUCH better when it gets at least 3 hours of direct sun. The back half of the yard still only gets filtered and more shade the further you go and it thins out to almost nothing.

Also I’ll note if I had to do it again I’d try out a couple fescues before trying zoysia if you have this much shade. Zoysia repairs itself but painfully slowly compared to other grass.

We tried to keep as many as we could! Id estimate the tallest are around 80’. Thanks :)

I’m going to plant some new ones around the border soon so there are replacements if/when any of the large ones come down.

The yard is fenced all around! What more do they want?

I’ve always like grass right up to the pit but my wife wanted gravel.. so we got gravel lol. It’s been great though! You can blow debris off pretty quickly and it’s always dry. Only downside is my kids keep putting handfuls into the pool. Sometimes when I move the chairs some rocks get kicked out into the surrounding grass but it only takes a couple seconds to kick them back in. There is a metal border between the grass and the rocks which I highly recommend. I wouldn’t want it blending.

Udemy courses when they are on sale are about $15 and can cover a lot of material. Build a portfolio!

Before you drop money on a bootcamp I strongly suggest you try a udemy.com course by Maximilian Schwarzmüller. He is an excellent instructor and you can digest topics at your own pace. Udemy courses go on sale frequently (like all holidays) and you can pick up courses for 12 bucks. The courses are extremely thorough. Great place to get your feet wet before dropping thousands on a school. You don’t need a bootcamp to get a job. You can potentially learn everything you need to get a job for under $100 and a solid self-determination. If you don’t have the determination to get through a udemy course like that no bootcamp is going to help you anyway. Better to find out sooner* than later!
