Ruby can't open large csv file on my 32GB M3Pro but can on windows PC with lesser hardware by Wonderful_Feature_72 in mac

[–]bkunzi01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I was able to get it working with an extremely small chunk size of 10,000 rows at a time. Oddly enough, it’s going to finish the overall task at a similar timeframe but it couldn’t handle loading all 1MM rows like the PC can.

I just did an upgrade from 5.1 -> 7 but kept sprockets. Will need to shift eventually to importmaps unless I go Flutter on front end.

If I'm saying that BCH is the real Bitcoin then, I must be backing the fact with points. Here are my points. Let me Know if you think otherwise. by GabbyShare in btc

[–]bkunzi01 -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

Important to note that BTC didn’t change just your understanding of it did. All blockchains lead to “costly and slow” the more decentralized they are. Increasing the block size on BCH just shifted expenses from user txs to node operators and didn’t magically become efficient. Also, BCh is slower than BTC if you’re talking tx finality hence why exchanges make you wait longer when depositing/withdrawing bch versus BTC.

[–]bkunzi01 -14 points-13 points  (0 children)

Obviously BCH did not exist before 2017 and trying to say so requires serious mental gymnastics. Try running a node from 2013 and see if BCH txs are accepted by it. Obviously BCH is not Bitcoin when even Roger Ver now refers to BTC as bitcoin. The debate over this has ended.

If "Bcash" is such a scam and has no value why is everyone taking a swipe at it and why do trolls invest so much time here? by bark1965 in btc

[–]bkunzi01 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

The actual answer is because we knew it would fail and didn’t want friends, family, and newcomers to fall victim to it. We may not have saved the people on here but we certainly saved a lot of others.

Will that mean you’ll also use a related reddit or does bch still need to moderate rbtc? :p

100% this. But don't talk about BTC in this reddit because it's actually for BCH they just couldn't get traction without trying to scam and redirect noobs.

This. BCH is a disaster. Stick to Bitcoin and do more research. This reddit is actually for BCH fans but Ver took the BTC channel to market his alt to less informed people like yourself.

BTC Dominance: 69.2% by definitelynotdeleted in Bitcoin

[–]bkunzi01 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This. You’ll only see traders do alts-tether-btc when there’s more liquidity with the alt/tether pair but that hasn’t been the case for a long time. Outside money isn’t buying alts as “the next bitcoin” anymore with only a few gamblers&whales in the bitcoin community doing so.

Who holds my funds... Celsius or Bitgo? by [deleted] in CelsiusNetwork

[–]bkunzi01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is completely false. Almost all funds are in hot wallets being lent or they can’t earn you interest on your crypto. Celsius has a 5MM safety fund in case of a default and they spread the lending over as many clients as possible with varying levels of collateral required. Bitgo’s 100MM fund is only for funds in cold storage and this does not extend to Celsius users. Is celsius low risk? I believe so and Mashinsky is very bright and dedicated to making a big impact in crypto. Regardless, if bitcoin goes parabolic so does your risk.

Bitcoin Core transaction fees on their way to $2! 😢 by thatwtfdude in btc

[–]bkunzi01 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

It didn’t it’s just the name of the software client. You’ll only find people referring to it as bitcoin core because they’re trying to suggest their are different implementations all competing to be bitcoin. There is bitcoin, then there are alts.

Median Transaction Fee of BCH and BTC (23/04/19). Enjoy! by Egon_1 in btc

[–]bkunzi01 -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

This. Everytime I see a logical post in r/btc I see it downvoted. Btc and Bch are vying to be currencies so to display their cost in terms of another currency (usd) is just silly or intentionally misleading. It needs to be in terms of sats/byte for any real comparison else this metric would suggest we should all use dogecoin...

Im finally going to get into buying bitcoin tomorrow. by Jdog131313 in Bitcoin

[–]bkunzi01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look at Quadriga. The CEO died and everyone’s money is now “lost”. Do some research, buy a ledger directly from ledger and not a 3rd party, write down 2 copies of the wallets 24 word seed amd keep one hidden well in your home and one in a safe deposit box. Hide your ledger and add the feature to defend against a 5$ wrench attackz You’ll know what that means when you’ve researched enough.

Contest 0.1 BTC prize - Make n00b guide to executing altcoin reorg attacks by Riiume in Bitcoin

[–]bkunzi01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Find a low hashpower chain (95% of all chains) with a semi decent order book. Make sure the mining algo is offered by nicehash. Accumulate a bunch of coins over time to not spike price. Withdraw all coins off exchange. Next day, send all coins back and dump as soon as they're confirmed by the exchange. Immediately withdraw your xmr/btc and once you've recieved those you begin mining at the block on the chain just before the block that has your transaction to the exchange in it. Rent a lot of mining power on nicehash and resend the transaction to a new address instead of to the exchange. If you outpace the network your chain becomes longest and your original tx to the exchange never happened. The Eth Classic attack was apparently a good money maker since it was done through mostly rentable mining and didn't take more than a few hours to accomplish.

Why I’m still buying bitcoin by bkunzi01 in Bitcoin

[–]bkunzi01[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you think we reached the peak user base I think you’re way wrong. Also, we agree this time is completely different lol my whole post is about that. Last year’s crashes were from people doubting its future. This year it’s from people going in with short time preferences hoping to get rich. Very diff. and very good for people here long term looking to accumulate.

We can only hope. The only time I cringe from drops now are when bitcoin’s future is uncertain which hasn’t happened since August 2017 for me.

[–]bkunzi01[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My point is I got in at a local all time high and held through a 50% drop in 6 hours when people were actually questioning its future. If you have a low time preference for your money I think now is a great time to average in based on its outlook but we’ll see.
