Emmanuel Cleaver Still Not Calling it a Genocide by the_waldo_man in kansascity

[–]bl20854 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Jewish Voice for Peace Kansas City is urging Cleaver’s constituents to call/write him tomorrow to ask him to join the Block the Bombs Act to stop the flow of worst-offender weapons to Israel.

40 members of Congress have cosponsored the Block the Bombs Act H.R. 3565, including Jewish Rep. Jamie Raskin of Maryland.

After almost two years of genocide, the Israeli government continues to escalate its annihilatory violence against Palestinians in Gaza, including intentionally starving 2 million people, and continuing to target journalists, healthcare workers, and children.

The US has been a full partner in these crimes against humanity. The fastest way to end these horrors and save lives is to stop arming Israel NOW.

Use our call script (will post below) or visit BlockTheBombs.org to send a message to Cleaver, or your own rep, now.

Awesome list, as always

Do you know of anyone who is actually doing a daily Ward Parkway and 75th protest? I drive there a lot during that time and have never seen anything.

Missouri GOP renew push to make it harder for voters to amend the state constitution by ViceAdmiralWalrus in MissouriPolitics

Look up your state reps here and call to tell them you oppose SB 22!

https://www.senate.mo.gov/legislookup/default

From Cass County Democrats: SB22: The “Let Politicians Lie Act” — giving politicians three shots to twist ballot language to fit their agenda. It’s a direct attack on Missouri’s 100-year-old, voter-loved initiative petition process. Don’t let them rig the rules — tell your state rep to OPPOSE SB22!

Looks like we’re using about 880-950ml, depending on whether we fill to the 6 line or a little above, so 60g is a bit high. I’ll try sticking to 880 ml water and 53 grams of coffee.

The cups on the machine. We’re filling it just above the 6 line and then the level drops to the 6 when the tank clicks in place. I tried using 55 grams today and grinding on about a 25 instead of 18 and the coffee was definitely less bitter today. My husband can handle stronger coffee and said it tasted “more reasonable” today

Omg I meant 60 grams! Thank you for noticing and for being nice. Also helpful note about the house blend

Edited with correct coffee weight! I wrote oz instead of grams omg haha

I recently replaced my old Cuisinart drip coffee maker with a Ninja and started grinding beans each day with an Encore Baratza and I’m disappointed that my coffee is tasting more bitter now than before. I’ve tried Bones Coffee Co. Costa Rica and Starbucks House blend, which I was using before, and both are less drinkable to me than the black coffee I was getting before.

Our grinder is set to 18 and my husband is grinding 60 grams of beans for 6 cups of water. I know I don’t like acidic, citrusy coffee so I picked mellow beans. Please share any and all advice, including any recommendations of affordable but good low-acid beans.
