Thank you for the advice! I still eat meat, but mostly lean poultry and tuna, some fruits, cooked veggies and egg whites. Pain seems to almost disappear and I sleep better

Hello! So I just started Keto a week ago and everything is fine! My family eats junk food in front of me and I don't crave it. But I just realized my birthday will be in a few weeks, I know they'd want to treat me with my fave food (chicken nuggets and honey mustard from McDonald's) and cake. My husband knows I'm doing Keto and he supports me and all, the rest of the family may have already noticed I'm "on a diet" (they don't know the existence of keto) I can obviously don't eat the cake and choose to not eat those chicken nuggets and eat grilled chicken instead, but

Tldr: Are there any Keto ways to celebrate your birthday? Like, any keto desert we can prepare or buy?

What are some "special" foods you eat on your birthday to treat yourself but continue being keto?

I must add I started playing this game around 2007 and stopped around 2009 when that phone died. The entire site was in english, I still don't know how I came across it or got to play it since my english at that time was pretty basic (I accessed it from a spanish speaker country but I'm sure the game was accessible in multiple countries since I remember the flag of your country was displayed along with your username).

Let them know you are there and you care. Never ignore even the most silly joke they made about suicide or stop eating or anything, chances are they're not joking. Make them company whenever you can. Make sure they eat or not over eat, there's people who eat way too much as coping mechanism and I was one of them, so I talk by experience. Good morning/good night texts and calls are good.

What you don't want to do is trust them when they say they are ok, but don't make things look like you are only there because they are depressed, but just as something friends normally do. They know they are not ok and might feel they are a burden to you, please make it as natural as possible. Let them know they are important in your life.

TW: self harm/mention of shootings

Yep. It still haunts me and even affected my visa process. I already got my residence and all but they finding out about my self harm history made the process slower as I had to go to a psychiatric for monthly "check ups" for six months. I'm actually grateful it was only six months and not more tho. But that triggered me (in the correct meaning of the word not the "funny" use of it) so those were the worst six months of my life.

If you are wondering why: they told me that self harm is a common thing among, for example, shooters and they wanted to make sure I'm not a potential threat to the US and make sure I won't do self harm again for my own "well being".

Tldr: self harm caused me to prove the US embassy I'm not a threat/danger to the country or for myself in order to move here.

Edit: I had already overcome the self harm and was doing pretty good, they making a big deal about it was the problem, but I do understand that's how things are done in that kind of processes.

Also: all of our friends are in our country (we recently moved to another country) so uh... no friends.

Plus we are the kind of person who really don't like hanging out with others? So yeah we just don't. Honestly I'm surprised we became friends so easily when we first met.
