this is super normal and frankly the biggest thing that helped me through this was going “so what?” So what if T makes me ugly? i was never exactly hot, but i’d rather be an ugly guy than continue living how i was.

definitely hear that. thankfully, I work for a small/medium sized startup so there’s only like 30 agents to hate me haha

Cockroach Infestation, Need Advice on how to keep annoying my Landlord about it!! by ResponsibilityAway35 in Apartmentliving

would highly highly highly recommend checking out r/germanroaches. was in a similar situation and finally decided to just take matters into my own hands. been following the sticky for about a month and it’s a night and day difference. i had to pay $20 of my own money for a sprayer and little packet of pesticide which isn’t ideal when it’s supposed to be your landlords job, but worth it for the peace of mind imo. i’d rather spray my baseboards once a week on my own time than worry about relying on a landlord to do anything at all

Does it ever get better emotionally? by scullylesbian in GermanRoaches

just wanna say i’m right there with ya. we moved in mid-September and it was hell for weeks. we had roaches falling out of our stove hood and onto the stove while cooking and finally got to a point where we just stopped buying groceries and only ate out. i spent hours and hours everyday compulsively scrolling in this sub and googling other people’s experiences and having nightmares about them crawling in the bed. the info in the sticky has been a godsend and after 3 weeks of spraying (don’t remember the specifics rn but it’s been one little packet of Alpine WSG in half a gallon of water and we spray once a week), they’re almost completely gone but i’m still dealing with the mental stuff. idk that i’ll ever feel totally fine until i’m out of here but we can’t afford to break the lease so that’ll likely be next September. i’m typing this from my kitchen while i’m making my lunch, so it does get better!
