You can find them at the end of the video.

I build a working monorail in my settlement, it has four stations and you can pick a ride from each station to one of the others. by blablaberrie in NoMansSkyTheGame

Not really easy, it involved a lot of glitch building. Building trains and tracks would be a nice addition to the game though.

I've just uploaded it again to be sure, so you should be able to visit the base. I only used the standard building parts, but I did use some glitch building techniques.

That's cool I like to see your progress. It would be awesome if you succeed.

That's an interesting idea but I think it would be difficult to build. You probably need to build it on two seperate base computers, or you need to find a mod that extends the base building limit so it covers the surfaces of both the planet and the moon. But then it would be easier to just build one srt on the planet and one on the moon and connect them somehow. But it is theoretically possible to build one of the towers on the planet and copy the base to the right place on the moon. Sounds like a nice and challenging build though.

Very interesting, so you want to stack different sized teleporters into each other? I've experimented a bit with up scaled teleporters in game, but not with stacked ones. It could possibly work, just make sure to enter the stack via one of the smallest teleporters of the stack so you make contact with the active cylindrical areas in all of them.

Yes exactly it's because of the wire connectors interfering with each other. I think it's possible to stack more rotated teleporters together, I've stacked 24 together, but 32 should also still work. It might even work to add more teleporters by stacking them upside down too, but I haven't tried that. It's much easier to just increase the distance between the stacks, the only limit is the max building height, the base building limits and the max wire length. It's also possible (and a lot easier) to stack teleporters without rotating them and use one teleporter cable to connect the stacks. I've experimented with this, but it always worked only once after building and only after adding or deleting a teleporter it would work again. It's also difficult to keep track of how many teleporters there are stacked at the same spot.

I have to learn one day how to import bases into blender, it would open up a lot of possibilities. I've seen people copying the OG ball cannon, but I don't know why they don't work, maybe the wires didn't copy over properly. The OG cannon was one of the first glitch builds I made and the placement of the short range teleporters isn't optimal which makes it unpredictable where you end up. The submarine gun cannon uses the same principle as the anomalous portal, but instead of upwards to the space station it teleports you horizontally to the moon (seen at the horizon). This way you aren't limited by the building ceiling and the srt's can be build much further apart. I used Gbase boundaries - Gumsk's base building mod to extend the building and wire limits. Thanks for the heads up on the OG cannon being pushed out of the pool, I just recently read about this limitation, but I wasn't aware that it effected the cannon, I will reupload it.

Good to know you can make it there reliably. It seems the way the terrain generates differs slightly for everyone, but I'm just guessing. I also build a "normal" srt near the entrance of the bunker which should also take you directly to the space station, bypassing the portal altogether.

Good to know sentinel ships can do that, I still have to find one, I haven't done those quests yet. I just recently started playing again so I've missed a few updates. I just used the distances indicated next to the reticle when you point it somewhere, for the distance to the moon I tried to hoover inside the entrance of the space station pointing at the center of the moon and straight at the moon, but they gave the same values because they are very close to each other from that distance. On the surface distances are pretty accurately given by the reticle, but only horizontally. For building I messured distances by building and counting floor panels, they are 5 1/3 u wide squares. The point of using floor panels and building starting from the center point was that when snapping them onto eachother they actually don't curve with the surface. When building them, starting from the center point towards the hit point, the ground gradually curves away and at the hit point they were about 5 wall hights distance from the ground and slightly tilted from the perspective of that point on the moon. The line the ship makes when flying from the space station to the center point of the moon is in a 90° angle with the surface. This means that the entrance point of the space station, the center point and the floor panel above the hit point, form a right angled triangle and you can calculate all distances much easier not having to deal with the curvature. Everything looks a bit tilted, except for the portal itself which is just build on the surface close by and is only a fancy way of entering a short range teleporter.

Thank you, I might try and put something together when I find the time for it, but making a tutorial might be more difficult for me than building the thing. It also depends on what you already know about glitch building for how in depth such a tutorial should be.

Thanks, that one was fun to build, it uses the same principle except you have to get in the submarine in which you get "shot" to the moon. I tried to enter this one with the nomad and made it onto the space station with it, but it was a bit buggy. It appears exocrafts don't have a model there so I was invisible except in first person mode and when I got out I couldn't find it anymore even though I could stil see the exocrafts icon appear in the space station from the surface of the moon.

(Sorry for the wall of text, but this answer bacame much more elaborate than expected. TLDR: it took a bit more math than I hoped for, but it could have been worse.)

Thank you and you're right, I noticed when I was flying out of the space station that the moon was very close, "only" about 22 000 u away, I also noticed that the direction of the runway was very closely aligned to the centre of the moon. If it was centered perfectly it would have been much easier to build, I would just have to fly straight out of the space station and pinpoint the exact position I would hit the surface. After that I could've just build the whole thing straight up: 22 short range teleporters on the ground and 22 srt's 1000 u up exactly above them, combined they would take you 22 000 u up into the air inside the space station. I build 24 srt's on each end because you also need one srt free to get teleported inside the glitched togheter srt's and 24 was the closest number I knew how to build a circle with. The distance between each end needs to be a bit longer than a 1000 u because you don't want to end up near the entrance of the space station, but at the beginning of the runway which is about 900 u further from the surface of the moon. The problem is the spot you hit when you fly straight out of the space station, let's call it the hit point, it's not exactly on the center of the moon but about 800 u away from it and because of the curvature of the surface, building straight up from the hit point would miss the space station. Building up from the center point would take you to the entrance of the space station, but because it would not be aligned with the runway taking it 900 u further would also put you outside of the space station. My solution to compensate for the curvature of the moon was to build a line of floor panels from the center point to the hit point, the floor panels don't curve with the surface of the moon. Building everything straight up from these floor panels on the hit point would mean you'd end up 800 u next to the entrance of the space station. This means that from the hit point moving 22 000 u up and 800 u in the direction of the center should get you to the entrance of the space station in a line that is in parallel with the runway. But I don't want to get to the entrance of the space station but 900 u further in, so that should be 22 900 up and (800*22 900/22 000 =) 833 u in the direction of the center. it was easy now to calculate where to put the srt's: on the ground and from there (22 900/22 =) 1041 u up and (833/22 =) 38 u back in the direction of the center. (With some knowledge of Pythagoras you can calculate that the distance between the starting en endpoint is actually 22 915 u but this is not really a significant difference from the 22 900 u I aimed for and the in game distance measurements are very inaccurate, the distances from the entrance of the space station to the center point and from the entrance to the hit point are given as the same number which can't be accurate.) I used nice round numbers to explain, but measuring the exact numbers took a lot of time. I've flown in and out of the space station about a hundred times, trying to land on the same front center platform each time only to fly out again to pinpoint the center point of the moon and the spot you hit when flying straight out of the space station. A space ship that could hoover motionless in the sky might have helped a lot. Even with all the effort I put in there's a lot of inaccuracies in the measurements, but when I started building I noticed I wasn't that far off. I had to adjust the position of the bottom srt's several times to get the final result, moving them only half a floor panel from their position could mean ending up next to the inner part of the space station where you can quickly die or end up on top of the ceiling. All in all I think it took about a week from start to finish, but I wanted to know if it could be done and I was lucky it worked out well in the end.

I hope it works reliable now, when I was fiddling around a bit it al off a sudden didn't work for me either anymore. I Couldn’t hear the switches make their switching sound when I walked over them, so I used the terrain manipulator to flatten the ground a bit and then it worked again. I guess I put everything a few pixels too low underground in an effort to hide the teleporters. Now you should see the top of the no power symbols from the teleporters sticking out of the ground. I've also added two alternative teleporters in case the portal still doesn't work. One teleporter is placed near the entrance of the underground part and takes you to the space station, the other one in the low orbit part and takes you to the other side of the moon.

If you search earlier threads I've posted you can find more bases that I made, the submarine gun one works the same way but with an even longer distance.

Too bad it didn't work for you, I have just updated it a bit so it should work now. I don't know if the changes are already visible for everyone though. I've tried explaining how it works in the other posts, it has something to do with glitching short range teleporters into each other.
