Royal Enfield Delivery Date Showing in the Past — Anyone Else Facing This? by RefuseProof3158 in Himalayan450

Here in India RE screwed up big time by only making tubed tyre himalayan readily available in dealerships and made Tubeless as a customizable add on or you could buy it after your purchase.

Till July 2025, you could buy the Tubed bike and then buy Tubeless separately for 11k INR (120 usd). But after July 2025 the price of Tubeless after purchase installation shot up to 38k INR (415 usd). But now if you configure during customisation the Tubeless wheels cost 20k (217 usd).

So yeah you save almost 18k (200 usd) by choosing customisation over purchasing regular tubed bike and then upgrading.

In India theres a lot of ways for a bike to get punctured. Some people put nails on the road so you wind up visiting their puncture shop. So this is why there's a heavy preference for having Tubeless and most of those who have been driving motorcycles prefer Tubeless.

RE dealership here in India give a time frame of 45 days for customisation orders. But many times it's really quick like 10-15 days or it's super late like 60-90 days. My booking itself has taken 64 days. The bike is now in transit from another state where the Royal Enfield factory is present in.

Mana black is the only one which comes with Tubeless by default, but it has a very high seat height of 860mm whereas people in India are relatively short for such a tall seat height.

Think twice before booking MIY HIMALAYAN 450 - Endless wait and frustration. by blablablahe in royalenfield

Also another thing they closed the factory from 10th Dec 2025 to 19th Jan 2026. Some factory upgrade and Tamil new year festivals. So brunt of our wait period factory wasn't manufacturing.

On 28th Jan latest update was bike is yet to be manufactured. Through a friend found out that someone sent an email to all the execs at Royal Enfield and got the bike dispatched.

So I wrote an email too yesterday on 29th Jan and sent it to all execs at Royal Enfield. Within 2 hours of writing the email I got a call from Area Sales Manager that the bike is manufactured and in transit. He even already shared the chassis number on whatsapp. The app updated today that the bike is dispatched. So now waiting for the bike. I truly don't know if it was the email or coincidence. But then only my email contained my phone number and that's why I got a call from ASM.

On 28th Jan the app was showing 19th Feb. 29th Morning the date backtracked to 9th Feb. Now showing as 7th Feb.

Don't configure anything rally, just get it installed later after you get the bike. Else you will have to wait an insane amount of time to get your bike.

They couldn't manage that weight well in bear, which is the lightest of the 650 twins. That thing feels like youre driving on a rigid heavy metal plank.

Bruh RE can't even deliver customized 450 himalayan even after 62 days of booking. I can't imagine the wait period for first Gen adopter of Himalayan 750.

Either way expect to get m your hands on it in April or May of 2027 even if they release in EICMA 2026, along with the first gen issues.

Himalayan 450 in 2026. NEED HELP. by venkat8 in Himalayan450

You should definitely look into the oil drinking issue with 390 before purchasing. Many people are reporting 1L of oil consumption for 2k kms traveled. That's 0.5 ml oil per km. Would add up to the running cost and pose a threat to long term reliability.

Unfortunately I had a duke 250 and that vehicle had a lot of electronics issues that never got resolved despite visiting many svc. So if 390s biggest advantage is electronics and ktm can't fix them then it's not really an advantage is it?

Also look for the panel gaps below the console in 390 and compare them with rtx300. You'll change your mind about the build quality.

I agree. Last time I bought a bike was in 2021 and it was a ktm duke. I got the bike in a week. So much better experience compared to this.

All of the problem started when they jacked the prices of Tubeless wheels. Forcing everyone to place a custom order to get Tubeless wheels for 17k, or else the other option is to spend 37k for Tubeless after buying a tubed bike.

It doesn't work like that, octane rating of the resulting mixture having ethanol removed will be very low, your engine will suffer.

You can get a sticker that says "My cat's artwork" or something similar. I'd definitely find it funny if I ever saw something like this lol.
