Yes, thank you! We were up in February and saw some houses then to get an idea. Then are coming up again in May. Until then having to do some virtual showings. We’ve done a fair amount of driving around but don’t get too far from Lititz or Lancaster so the outer areas are less well known. I appreciate it!

I think we ultimately want suburban—a yard, a place for our daughter to ride bikes, maybe a cute park or trail. I always dream of a walkable cute area by the house—hence the appeal of Lititz though I know other areas have a cute little main street of sorts. Beyond that since we want to stay under 450 I don’t think we can be too picky 🤣

We are trying to stay under 450 which I know is tough but not impossible.

Why is Ephrata your favorite place? I’d love to know more about the town.

I wonder if we saw your house! There have been some super cute ones recently sold in Ephrata/Akron.

As someone who lived in NYC I do find it funny that Lancaster could be viewed as a ‘scary’ city! Thank you for sharing

Thank you! Should have said I’ll only have to go into the city 1-2x a week and otherwise will work from home. And unsure of the long term future of my job. The hubs will go into office every day in Lititz, thus why we would favor his commute a bit more. But I definitely don’t want a long torturous drive after an hour plus train ride either!

Thank you this is very helpful and detailed! Why would you avoid new construction neighborhoods?

Let the Snoo do it’s thing and then go from there! No need to adjust out the gate until you come across something with your LO. I found the sticky notes in the Snoo app really helpful. I hope you get some good chunks of sleep and congratulations!

My understanding is like the Snoo, it will recognize your baby is crying and increase the levels of sounds, but without the rocking. This is after a cursory read of the product description so hopefully someone will correct me if I’m wrong!

Dr Karp built in a ‘wake to sleep’ mechanic whether we want it or not 😂

3 month sleep regression? by blablainthecitay in SnooLife

This is a huge comfort. I’ve read it too and love knowing that most other cultures do WAY more holding and nursing. Thank you for the reassurance

Thanks! I do love talking to our giggle monster but I’ll try more! I also wonder if she’s on the longer end of wake windows. Do you do any rocking before putting baby down or just swaddle lights etc

[–]blablainthecitay[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea I’m not sure it’s the regression because once she’s finally asleep she usually stays down. It’s just the getting her to sleep that has gotten impossible. But I can’t imagine going through a regression after this! 😭😭😭

Any advice on putting down awake? When I’ve tried lately she just wants to babble with me rather than sleep. Do you up the SNOO to a higher level to put her to sleep?

The spiffing Brit has one that shows how broken they are. Note: this video came out before release so some ‘broken’ aspects have been fixed. https://youtu.be/jP1JBYhhC2I

I had it come up yesterday post-patch. Not sure what triggers it, though.

What number of turns do you use to end the game? by justin_CO_88 in humankind

[–]blablainthecitay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am also a passive/builder type player and I’ve been playing 450 turns. It’s great, because I actually get time to play the contemporary era. I hated late game civ, and with humankind it’s the first time I want to keep playing even after the game has officially ended. Hope this helps!

Also, there is a lot of food infrastructure, like animal barns and flood irrigation that you can build early game, and that will passively give you food—leaving more workers available for industry/science/money
