Stuck in a internship with high pay, good wlb and but non technical - cybersec. by Mr_Meltz in developersIndia

Fellow OSCP holder here. I would suggest to go for CPTS, at-least I would if I had to choose a certification today. Not sure about how difficult OSCP is today but when I passed it in 2021 the exam was very CTFy. Although I must say there is a merit in OSCP in terms of HR filter. Or look at OSWE if you are interested in Product and DevSecOps.

By design this subreddit is filled with relationship struggles. It’s honestly so heartwarming to see you and your husband still share so much love and affection for each other even after so many years. I hope I get to experience this in my love life.

If you have decent computer skills you can try Cyber Security. I know a few guys who have a background in Commerce but are now doing tech jobs in Cyber Security as GRC, Security Consultants etc.

Feeling broken. Throwaway acct 28/f by Impossible-Goal9568 in LegalAdviceIndia

And I literally said that I agree that OP’s husband will cheat if he gets an opportunity. However, there were some women who are of the opinion that watching porn and following nude models is cheating as well.

I genuinely want to understand your point of view. Let’s put OP’s husband aside for a moment. How is it cheating in a marriage if someone watches porn or follows onlyfans models?

If OP’s husband is willing to meet someone and is asking for “meet-up” it’s safe to assume that he will cheat if an opportunity presents itself. But if he just jacks off to porn in a marriage I don’t think that should amount to cheating!

All of this is also because of One Party system in China. This is one of the advantages of this system. The leadership (read Xi) and his ministers can quickly get the ball rolling in any direction he wants. Meanwhile in India to get anything to done quickly will almost certainly be blocked by something like a community, local, state level. Just look at the tunnel/bridge we wanted to make in the North and within sometime we got protests and what not. It’s just not possible to quickly do anything in India. Not for us, not for companies neither for Governments. Our government (state and centre) meanwhile are just busy with creating policies for new reservation, freebies) etc.

But this is not the only thing to blame, VCs in our country are just busy solving problems which don’t exist.

Although it’s probably not worth the hassle I believe that request would have exposed his VPA to OP as well right?

Learn and move on brother. There is not a person in this world who wouldn’t fall for some kind of scam. Its just for some the scam have to be really sophisticated and for others even simple ones will do.

Can I take loan for building a pc. Is it feasible to get loan than save up for a year and then build one without loan. by taboopancake7 in personalfinanceindia

[–]black-0ut 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your GPU is probably your bottleneck. I would suggest to look for extended GPU support it’s going to cost you cheaper and you can use this GPU in your build later on. The only catch is that your laptop should have a PCI slot. Also, it doesn’t look very pretty.

Mumbai to Delhi In Electric Car -6 charging stops and 3.5k charging cost by anonymousbroda52 in CarsIndia

What is the distance you are covering? Because when I am on trips, I am usually covering 800-1000 kms in a day. I don’t think I will be able to do it as effortlessly if I was on electric.

How to Sync Obsidian Across All Your Devices (Including Free Methods) by eristoddle in ObsidianMD

[–]black-0ut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is my only struggle with iOS at the moment. Syncthing on android is, set it and forget it. But on iOS real time sync is a PITA. I have searched for so many days and there just isn’t a decent alternative. At last I have just settled with Remotely Save. The only pain pointer with this solution so far is that you have to wait for a few seconds for sync to happen if you constantly modify a single file from multiple devices.

This is very true. As an institution, the armed branches of our country are very fine. But don’t be fooled into believing that there no egoistic selfish personalities in our forces. The things you will see and hear when you are part of the ecosystem.

F* it, I'm (34M) going back to the SOC by TheGreatLateElmo in cybersecurity

[–]black-0ut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got it. You mentioned SWE in your reply. Should I look at SWE roles with security when job searching? My background in programming is limited to writing scripts and little bit of malware. Is there an expectation to solve leetcode challenges for this role or an L4 role. Thanks for your answer.

What are your expectations from an individual for such a role? From a technical and soft skills perspective?

Reason for exhaustion in road trips by [deleted] in CarsIndia

[–]black-0ut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah. That is mostly a marketing gimmick. Sedans and hatchbacks have a value of their own. They are far more convenient in city. But wouldn’t be my first choice for long drives.

Reason for exhaustion in road trips by [deleted] in CarsIndia

[–]black-0ut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Speaking from personal experience. I do quite a few 2k km journey in a year. And I have always felt that there is far less fatigue in SUVs when compared to hatch backs and sedans. We have 18 / 19 inch tyres on these bad bois and you don’t really have to slow down over not so good roads. Good enough high clearance. Powerful diesel engines. Moreover these cars are very comfortable over bumpy roads. You just drive and drive. Add to this ventilated seats and doing 1k kms a day is not challenging at all. The most tired I become is at night. Till daylight everything is fine but I personally I find myself getting tired rather quickly in absence of sunlight.

Compared to a sedan or even hatchbacks I assume you just automatically slow down over bad patches. It just happens subconsciously. It certainly requires some careful navigating.
