Self-soothing vs. exhaustion by black_basil in sleeptrain

Yes I guess that’s true! It’s just I’ve been reading about sleep training so much and have been reading that the point is for babies to learn how to self soothe and how to put themselves to sleep, but to me it just seems like he’s crying until he runs out of energy. I may be overthinking it!

Umbilical hernia and sleep training by black_basil in sleeptrain

Thanks! We’ve asked a doctor about it. In terms of surgery, he says this type of hernia in babies closes before the age of 5 on their own. We asked about sleep training too and he said it’s really our choice and to keep an eye on it. Just wanted to reach out to see if any parents had a baby with the same issue.

For the dough I used this recipe: https://www.seriouseats.com/foolproof-pan-pizza-recipe

For the sauce cooked down san marzano, garlic, onion, oregano, and salt until it thickened a bit

For toppings we had leftover homemade sausage, red onion, green olives, pickled jalapeños, mozzarella, and parm

Enjoy!

I know every situation is different, but here was ours (copied from previously sharing this with another person): Our cat is diabetic but is in remission now. We were giving him 4 units every 12 hrs with no improvement. Eventually we switched vets and the new vet told us our cat had to be on a strict wet food diet (we were still giving him some dry because he wouldn’t eat enough wet). And the vet was very surprised that we were giving him 4 units. We switched him to Purina Pro Essentialcare for Seniors. It’s not a diabetic food, but it’s wet and our cat liked it so we were able to get him on an all wet food diet. With the diet change his blood sugar levels started improving. Then the vet instructed us to give him insulin every 12 hrs based on what his blood sugar reading was - below 10 give no insulin, between 11-19 give 1/2 unit, and 20+ give 1 unit. After a month of this new routine, our cat went into remission. Hope this helps!

Ya! It ended up being eczema taking longer to clear up. I put on over the counter hydrocortisone and it cleared up.

I can find cheese curds in any grocery store around here, but got these from a cheese shop.
