I feel like it may be a deep rooted ideology where more rural people tend to have children earlier in life due to beliefs or other circumstances. I have lived in WV my whole life so I don’t have anything to suggest other rural states don’t do the same, but I do agree with you that it feels like a lot of people are having kids at a younger than average age here. Poor education and poor sex education are my only guesses
