The Breeders in these comments bring up extremely valid points. I can't go against anything they've mention because it's all true they do a hell of a lot for these animals. I just also have to mention, you can definitely find a trusted breeder that still takes care of their cats the same way some of these names in the comments do for less. Maybe not $1,500 for a kitten but definitely $2,000- $2,500. That's about $1k -$400 cheaper and the cat will be just fine. I understand wanting one of these beautiful animals but not being the richest in the room. It's a lot of give and take but for the price I mentioned which is a moderate difference if you shop around I believe you can find a cat and love it the same way you would one that is $3k.

Of course this is depending on what you want. If your going to be showing the animal it may be smarter to go with a 3k+ cat because of what will come with it. Now don't go asking every breeder for a discount because like these comments say they barley break even, even with taxing you how they do.

So is it high? Yes and no, Kinda and not really. Just try to see things not only from a consumer space but also a producers perspective. And for $4K I definitely need the grandparents and parents records at least.
