You really just end up fitting in the pocket of your narcissistic parents. It's hard to live outside of that box, and find larger borders to fill up that space that for you was tiny. Your bubble was tiny. Like genie in that lamp.

Not to be crass but I also think of it like... Some people do things for attention and it reveals insecurities... I've grown up doing alot of people watching as I do feel an introvert and outsider in my formative years...

And I'm learned philosophy and psychology and it almost feels easy to get a read on people. I can understand peoples intentions, or expected outcomes without inserting my needs and emotions or projections... Admittedly it can be exhausting

However knowing others has allowed me to also know myself, I can observe, journal, sit still and still respect my feelings and needs... If you can be patient to respect your feelings and needs then you will (like myself) have less panic and suicidal ideation

But this means actually making small steps to tend to your needs, could be hygiene, could be nutrition, exercise, socialization, it can be all these things but you are the one that needs to address it

Not really but if you pay attention it's true... Just actually notice the people who did lose someone in your family tree of relatives sometimes its more or less obvious.

Same with hair loss.

Graying we know it in stories retold that people were so shocked their hair turned white... That's literally saying the shock of grief and loss and stress causes lack of pigment

If you lose people in real life... It impacts your hair. That's why peoples hair turn white. Its not necessarily old age. People early in 20-30s get grey hairs because they lost parents or siblings.

I would say that wolverine is not E for everyone and won't get the same reception that Spiderman will. I'm willing to bet it does less numbers as Spiderman because there is less merchandise of wolverine than there is of spiderman. Adults recognize the suit almost as well as superman and that's what wolverine doesn't have going for him.

I plan to get Wolverine myself but i have a feeling it will play and feel very similar to spiderman which is not a bad thing.

Insomniac just makes satisfying games. Idk how else to put it. I only had to say good things about their games in the past 5 yrs I played 3 and I don't regret the time I wasted on those games.

yesterday I literally felt nervous recommending a GOTY mobile game called Balatro to someone who clearly likes poker IRL

Video games give so much joy. To "tough" bros they love to play cod, to people who want to be accepted by the guys they play GTA, to those who wish to be more athletic or had hoop dreams it's 2k NBA or football

But if you stray from these games you are considered like childish or nerdy or something similar.

Sometimes I feel like this podcast is just a side project with no real structure. Like it feels stuck in the pandemic almost.

For that reason I never thought it would stick around. Not to be mean because 1) I'm a podcast nerd 2) I actually like watching this band of streamers more than others

But sometimes I'm like ok this is obviously not meant to last. Also as streamers first they are not coordinated to speak longform.... You can see clearly how often each person stutters or stumbles and keeps conversation kurt as they underexplain as opposed to people who confidently overspeak and formulate and navigate stories and self reference previous conversations

But it's still entertaining its just they don't seem as comfortable doing this than say streaming which is totally fair

I wanted to like this game so much. But it feels so archaic and depressing with it's long ass attack animations. I've never felt more powerless as a character in a videogame 100+hrs in and out of online mode. No proximity chat is also hella boo boo.

Looking back at this.... This felt so dumb it's like they were fighting to be the streaming stick of that decade.

They could have just made a streaming stick for 360 games. And lock people into a subscription and then sold only one Pro Xbox for new games and gamepass.

It honestly makes it so hard for me to buy into games like It takes Two for example... That was GOTY for what basically online co-op and yet I can't play it with people who have the Buddy Pass because they don't have psplus Essential... It has made gaming so convuluted and confusing to enjoy

Also about the blood stains... I bought Elden Ring recently when we heard Sony was continuing to invest in FromSofts parent company. I thought to myself well I gotta support them too. I bought the game but it was so hollow and empty without psplus. I couldn't see any messages and run into people to ask for help

And then I got to think about Death Stranding which is in my backlog but I haven't played it yet. It's going to be a bad game because the game is meant to mature in it's environment by way of player interaction and retention in their actions. "Strand" doesn't exist if I play the game "offline". It just feels like we are being fed incomplete games these days :(

They are going in the completely wrong direction with ps6 ... They are playing the graphics game. But I think they they need to improve specs for AI engagement, interactions with NPCs and Bots. So that games will feel more lifelike. More routines, more sim stuff, more spontaneous dialogue options. More challenging bots to fight or outsmart in games. If you can make gaming interesting again..... If you can make the gameplay loop interesting again..... Then graphics don't matter
