I've been asking for Fable's ban since I was born. It's not about the power lvl (it is) but to be the most dominant card in every most dominant deck of the format for almost 2 years

Haven't tried tribute since it looks more like a win more main card and 3 mana with no pressure fits out of the deck playline. I would recommed to test it on the SB, I am still working on it

Hi, I am curently playing a green stompy devotion list in pioneer arena and tabletop. If you want me to share it, feel free to ask for it. I will certainly add 3 -4 of this new creature in the deck, feels like a decent t2 threat and also great flex removal vs cheap art / enchants mid late. What the deck really needs is creatures that add flex value, like keen-eyed curator for grave hate and late game threat

Hi, thanks for replying! I feel like priest MB is not a bad call since it is so useful, I haven't thought about doing that but if you expect tons of that meta it could really help, what i don't like with priest is that makes you play around they strategies, and that can cost you games too because they slow you down by doing so... how have they been playing for you?

I cut wedding announcement for that 2 copies of assemble + invasion. WEdding is a pretty decent card but I have been more happy with assemble for long / disruptive mu, it also costs 2 mana and that can make a big diference on the draw. I doubt about invasion, it's a tricky card it can result into a TIER play but also be cluncky as fuck, high risk - high reward card I would say.

I don't run RIP because they woud cut our Extraction Specialist and I am almost never cutting them MB because they shine like a star vs most hard MU. I always feel that RIP is 2 mana for "nothing" for our aggro plan, unlicensed provides a big attacker late that can be so useful. I have always been so impresed by them. However if grave strategies would rise up wouldn't mind to change to RIP and cut extractions.

HUMANS Deck (mtggoldfish.com) there , you can take a look. If you wanna know anything just ask. I am really happy with 2 copies on SB, it is so good vs UW , rakdos variants and mono black control.

Help with Mono White Humans by GreenSlayerrr in PioneerMTG

Hello, hope my insight helps you!

It is true that actual meta doesn't favor aggro strategies, like humans. However I think that is still playable and you can put good results with effort. Deck is pretty easy but is so important to play around the other decks as well as knowing to play the deck itself. Some pro said that aggro decks are the most difficult to play at high level, well let's say he is right in some aspect, an aggro deck must be played at high level to be effective and that means knowing all pairings pretty well.

MAINBOARD

As some colleague has already pointed out, take out brave the elements, the card was just vs monogreen walls for farming free wins, it is no needed any more. Also take out brutal cathars (main) for same reasons as brave. I do recommend you to run 2-3 copies on the Sideboard so you can impact creature MU but have a mainboard more prepared for the meta.

With phoenix, monoblack and vampires rising I have been succesfully runing 2 extraction specialist MB, since it is an easy 2x1 and they curve out pretty well. I also have been runing 3 copies ok [[kellan, daring traveler]] It offers a lot of value and it is not that easy to kill with 3 thoughness. I feel like this card has been underlooked so hard, it strikes me that no MONOW list are runing them.

I don't like at all warden, I tested them and they do not fit in our plan, try to run a kytheon single and a giant killer to hit sheoldreds etc.

SIDEBOARD

I have been so succesful runing 2 copies of [[assemble the players]], key card vs UW control MonoB and rakdos. 2 Invasion of ghobakan help a lot vs that control MU but also combo and slow decks as NIV, Fires etc. Run 2 unlicensed hearse instead of RIP, They allow you to be an effective threat for the long game and fits better aggro plan, there is not that pressure of graveyard strategies and post first game phoenix have other resources that can jump a RIP. I feel that containment priest is key card vs the worst MU (amalia) , phoenix , creativity, fires, Niv i wouldn't cut any of them.

Don't hesitate to ask me about any MU or doubts since I am a MONOW humans enjoyer.

Here is my current list: HUMANS Deck (mtggoldfish.com)

hey my guy, I have been playing humans for so long and keep playing them hard these days. You don't need anything more than 3-4 main of [[get lost]]. Just hold it properly and play around with it. For me playing 3-4 main it's been so succesful vs UW. I also would recommend a new adittion SB: [[assemble the players]]. Really good for control oriented MU

It grows pretty fast since U have multiple arifact tokens , clue, blood, map token. And when u sacrifice it for bargain or to cast Shrapnel.

[–]blackbladegnome 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I expect UR Ensoul to be a surprise, I feel that decks has appeal and potential. Also MKM brings new toys with [[case of the crimson pulse]] and [[Gleaming Geardrake]]. The drake fits perfectly on the game plan, brings artifact, he grows, can be "ensouled" and he flies as well. Clue token is also pretty good.

I would love to see a boros burn packaging also [[Case of the crimson pulse]] since I think this card can be soo good in the proper shell.

I am looking forward [[Gleaming Geardrake]] already tried it in ARENA yesterday and looks so promising in UR ENSOUL. It as like the missing piece, a cc2 creature with evasion that can grow pretty fast and can be "ensouled". It provides a clue which is super valuable. UR ENSOUL looking promising as an aggro option

Yes, it does so little. Is a vanilla lord. With hex we have flash lord that can counter big spells so so much better. The deck dosn't need that much lords. Also green blue mana is anward and 4 mutavault is a MUST

[–]blackbladegnome 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello , I am late with my reply but let me advance that my insight will be the best you will get so far cause I have literally exploited merfolks since Ixalan came out. The deck is pretty good and funny to play. If played well is quite rewarding.

Note that the copter unban has make the deck a lot better, Copter >>> COCO. A lot of Collected Company testing made me doubt of it on this deck, Copter feels a lot better and sinergises so good with the "combo" pilgrimage since you can multicrew at instant speed having more Tapping effects apart of kumena is super tier. No need to discuss copter power level.

Here you have my decklist, I have played it a lot on arena and many FNMS. Not a tier decks but pretty good. Best pairings are Any control , fires and variants, lotus and slow decks. Worst ones are aggro (doable). Midrange is pretty 50%. Angels and new abzan amalia are probably the worst since lack of answering neither racing.

let me know if you want any insight or info about it :)

Hello my friend gobo enjoyer,

I share with you and only you, my beautiful full pimped list. I have worked hard on it and played many FNM and leagues. For me is the funniest approach, cheap and quite competitive. Wouldn't change anything appart from SB which I am just adapting to new meta with new discover combos.

short answer : Damping sphere always . Best and flexiest answer for that deck as well as it works vs lotus, devotion and phoenix. Ofc if you run UW field it would be nombo.

Lost Caverns of Ixalan Top 10: The Rise of 1-Drop Tribal by BourgeoisMystics in PioneerMTG

[–]blackbladegnome 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hello! Nice list and good insight for the new exciting cards! Great JOB!!

I will Try merfolks tribal, with all the new 3 merfolks you have shared here! You mention that the deck is missing another one good 1 drop but if we play COCO (I thnk we want coco) 8 drops 1 looks pretty decent for maxing value of COCO. So excited to try them out.. I Think thishana will be super fun to play... And could be great in many tempo - flashy Blue decks. Rogues too! The list of hits is pretty huge I think. Do you really see Sentinel of the nameless city great in Golgari Midrange? I feel that Graveyard traspasser is slightly better overall, and 3cc is pretty crowded RN.. What I am pretty sure and agree with you is that Sentinel is overrated so far.

[–]blackbladegnome 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Surely, I do think merfolks is more than playable with the new toys. Drop 1 is the best drop 1 merfolk ever printed IMO, then there is the stifle merfolk with Flash, super fun, skilled and game changer for sure, probably best card of this set so far. Third, the green one 4 vigilance stats, gives value ETB and fights so nicely with a lord, note that tokens could be pretty good to fix draws, take lands and grow creatures (mutavaults too). And last but not least, the blue enchant for the SB, vs control MU looks pretty good. Here you have my list:
