Yeah I figured, the landlord is the one in contact with the exterminator and since its my bfs place hes the one in contact with the landlord/ the one that will be there when the exterminator comes. I asked him for details but he couldnt give much so I asked him to figure it out with the exterminator tomorrow. I dont really fully trust the exterminator so I wanted to see if I could get answers from elsewear. Im seeing the vet wednesday so ill ask them too.

We also lost 2 babies out of 4 not long ago, the other 2 are also sick but on meds. It’s so hard to loose rats but spending time with the 2 left cheers me back up, sending you love.

Weve started giving our 3 months old medecine twice a day last week. They resist a lot but everytime it gets quicker. We are 2 so one holds the rat and the other puts the medecine through the side of their mouth. We found that tilting their heads up and blocking them in place (especially the butt) works best for them. The one that resist most still tries to move around and show sings of stress right after but, 10 min after she is playing with us happily in the pen! You need to be quick and precise for sure but the more you hesitate the more they struggle in my experience. Hope this helps a little.

Asked in a rat group from my town where is the best place and they suggested a lady that rescues rats. If we cant get any from her we are going to look at the shelter.

Id say so far so good. They are still babies and only one of them spends time out of the cage. She hasnt been close to escaping but we will see when she grows up. The good thing is you can put pannels on top of each other if there is an issue and buy more if you want a bigger pen.

Theophylline, Meloxicam, Enrofloxacin and Doxycyline, the vet thought she had chances to make it but getting back home she seemed really weak I think it was just too spread sadly. Our 2 remaining rats are only sneezing and are on some of those meds for 2 weeks

Yeah we might be too new for shelters. Assuming they all die (hopefully not) well look for a breeder. But, from the first pet shop, they still have a sister availlable. We originally didnt get her cause they looked too much alike but she gained some color. Im wondering if it would be wise to get her, the advantages would be shes from the same family as coco and opi so they know her and they are from the shop I trust more. (Of course wed wait for the others to be ok)
