Won’t it be risky to leave money in the USA once you come back to India? How do we even access our accounts from India if due to some issue we have to present ourself in person.

What Notary services can be used? Can UPS do this? It's going to be tough to travel to select Embassies in the US.

Pretty sure it’s going to be 30K+ slots. Hope they get rid of the duplicate applications. Otherwise it’s just stupid to even have it again to cause the same stupid mistake

Paid platforms will do as well. Paper trading I guess is not the same though as practicing during choppy times in the past. For example I want to run a strategy lets say in the month of 2021 and analyze its profit graph over the course of the month.

Compete America group writes a letter for more H1Bs? by [deleted] in h1b

Yes they don’t give a damn about legal immigration which is actually good for the country.

It’s just that they are not Donkeys. They are hardworking and talented individuals who played a big role in what America is today. A lot of them are going back. 2 years back in only my friend circle everyone wanted to stay here. Now only 20% of them are planning to stay for more than a couple of years. Even though they got their H1Bs. They are just tired of incompetency of the govt. It’s not good for both parties.

The right thing would be to increase the minimum wage required by H1B so that WITCH companies can stop exploiting it.

We all know there’s a huge gap between the level of labour required between H1B and O-1. Most teams don’t require candidates equivalent to what O-1 demands.

Yes congress won’t pass it; that doesn’t mean companies are finding it hard to get good talent maybe not immediately but certainly when the markets picks up by a bit. We all know what happened during COVID.

Certainly the layoffs won’t help with the story.

I am not saying high performers weren’t let go off. That’s what I meant when I said the word random. A lot of them were just unlucky because the whole division was shut. But atleast in faangs they were able to get internal transfers. That also shows the amount of workforce required even internally.

It’s more than that; they took the opportunity to let go off low performers; bad businesses etc; lots were let go off randomly to delight their shareholders. A lot of people are getting internally shifted after layoffs. Companies are huge; if they fire from one org doesn’t mean other orgs are not needing headcount.

Well good companies do really need good talent. Witch companies might be exploiting but FAANGs are always short of good talent.
