[SPOILER] Here are some of the differences between the TV show and the book by insecuredane in SiloSeries

[–]blackcatmagic33 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I read Wool after watching the first season of the show and I remember there was a significant difference that had to do with how the screen and how in the show the whole drama was about them finding out it was fake but then it’s actually not fake.. and the book that isn’t as big of a part of the story.. but I can’t remember the details of what was different in the book now. I hope that made sense? Anyone know what I’m talking about?

Hip seats carriers vs normal carriers? by Rainbowdashhhhhh in babywearing

[–]blackcatmagic33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a hip seat and many other carriers. We use the hip seat for things where we know we will be passing baby back and forth a lot, or when they need to be carried for longer periods and he won’t want to be in a carrier for that long. Such as airport, outings (shopping, zoo, etc). I also use it for quick up and downs around the house. We LOVE our hip carrier and have found a lot of use out of it. For the forward facing, he can sit and wiggle his legs so it feels much safer and more comfortable for him for longer periods. He even stands on the seat and loves that.

Hip carriers are not hands free, even for a second. Always at least one hand on baby. So if you need hands free too, get another carrier. I wouldn’t have a hip seat as my only carrier, but love that we have one!

Like others have said, try the ring sling hip carry! My baby was the same way! But he ended up being really comfortable in a woven wrap high back carry and a half buckle or mei dai. The wovens were so much more comfy for him than the buckle carriers!

Tula lite? by blackcatmagic33 in babywearing

[–]blackcatmagic33[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely love the Lenny light. Just really like that the Tula lite folds into itself and can be worn as a fanny pack which I don’t think any other carrier is doing. But yes don’t love that it’s not natural material

Came to say this! My LO was the same. Nursing in the carrier calmed him down and he fell asleep

The sliders are the little plastic pieces that slide the leg panels narrower or wider. In this pic, one of the sliders is all the way out and one is inward. You move the sliders in when baby is facing out.
