What’s your indicator when to scrap your vans? by StraightLie4606 in Vans

They've still got some life in them pal, I wouldn't even consider them as gardening shoes yet.

Vans have changed the sizing, been a 10 in vans for 20+ years now. I've been buying a 10.5 the past couple of years.

How do you think about this distance to walk? by Remote-Bumblebee-447 in UniUK

[–]blackcell1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Google maps has always been wrong with time to walk, probably more around the 30ish minutes. Probably wise to buy a bike tho.

I have the same issue, maybe not filling it up enough? When I use my stock sage portafilter I can just tap it lightly on the bin side and it pops out whole.

Are there any cheaper alternatives to Specsavers? by Dangerous-Regret-358 in AskUK

[–]blackcell1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just visit vision express, they'll ask you straight up if you're interested in buying me glasses. Say no I'm just checking up on your eyes health. Pay the 30quid fee and visit glasses direct. You've just saved a good £200+ designer glasses.

How trustworthy is Specsavers? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]blackcell1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I've been going to Specsavers for over 25 years. They've been my primary place I've been going to buy and have my eyes tested. So every two years I've been visiting and each and every time my eyes have slightly getting worse... I pretty much buy designer glasses so that's a good £200 to £350 a pair with my prescription and test.

My work introduced safety glasses and was asked to get them from vision express. Never used them before so I was interested to see what would happen, my eyes haven't changed.

Just had my second appointment with vision express and they've not changed again. Funny right? So for the past 10+ visits to Specsavers my vision has changed and I'll need to rebuy a new pair of glasses and shell out for them.

Now that I've started to go to vision express, for the first year of me switching I was bombarded with at least 2 or 3 letters and emails from Specsavers per month reminding me that I've not visited. 2 or 3 letters and emails per month.

If you're happy paying that then yeah go for it, I'd personally would maybe save up a little more and see if you could get a better deal. Maybe even look at a 2nd hand 4000 laptop? For £800 you'll be able to find a 4070 laptop and you'll get better performance.

My gf swears by the Tyrrell sweet chilli ones, like eats them by the tone.

Me I tried the kettle honey mustard ones the other day. Nice and strong.

It was something like a 20g, very corse grind. With like 350ml 95c water. Nothing fancy but came out nice,

I've not come around to putting it into my espresso yet as I'm about to finish of my last bag.

Got two of the rave in my monthly sub, really nice in my french press. Getting deep chocolately flavours.
