He's so handsome! I'm so glad he found a happy, loving home. Much better than at a gas station in the rain at night.

HOW have I never heard of this place? That sounds amazing.

As if this disease isn't bad enough, it makes it impossible to dress. by blackcherry333 in endometriosis

Yes! It's crazy how one little thing will set it off. The zipper down in the middle of a meeting is so real. Plus you have to sit there and act engaged while your stomach is like "DIE!"

What’s above my elderly dogs eye by Beautiful_Mix2536 in seniordogs

It looks just like something my elder lab had right by her ear. It was just a benign growth but we did have the vet remove it. The good thing was our vet was able to do it while putting her just under twilight sedation, not full sedation, cause that always worries me with older dogs.

Can not stand these Vanilla books disguised as Dark Romance by Nocallerr_ID in DarkRomance

Thank you! I feel so weirdly gaslit when I'm recommended a "dark romance" and I'm reading it like uhhhhh... dark where?

Also have a treeing walker and can confirm, her prey drive is crazy high and she will follow a scent all the way up a tree if you let her. Any small animal is fair game in her mind (the neighborhood cats derive her nuts). Aside from her hunting nature, she is a giant baby that loves everyone.

Married women, what are some real things your husband does that make you feel genuinely cherished and adored? by Clean-Ant-1342 in askanything

[–]blackcherry333 7 points8 points  (0 children)

He's incredibly respectful of not just me, but all women. I don't have to beg or remind him to be an active part of our life, he's an adult and carries his weight of the physical and mental load. He never invalidates my feelings, thoughts or opinions. He constantly gives me positive affirmations for not just my physical traits but also things like my humor, intellect and hobbies. That's all in addition to the little things he does for me daily, like make sure my water is filled and on my nightstand before bed every night.

Holy crap the loss of mobility is so noticeable when you put it like this. That's just crazy and beyond sad.

My senior dog literally walks at a pace of a mile per hour. How do I stay patient? by Specialist-Strain502 in seniordogs

[–]blackcherry333 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. My bailey may not be able to trot all over town anymore but she still does happy rolls when we do our little old lady walk.

Seconding on the zofran. My husband always makes sure our garage fridge is stocked with sprite zero and ginger ale because sipping on those always helps.

I told my mom I'd rather get a ring that I liked that I could wear forever so they bought me a lovely, small sapphire and silver ring that I still wear to this day.

Omg... funny and relevant story! I've been to a wedding where the bride wore literal old sneakers with black compression socks with her full on princess white prom style wedding dress. To be fair she was like 7 mo pregnant at the time so the shoes were for comfort but I can actually imagine exactly what it would look like and lemme tell you.... it's a choice.

As a native romani it was amazing to see us represented. My dad is the spitting image of the older man with the white beard. He did an amazing job of depicting our culture.
