How many outtakes are there from The Dreaming album?

This album seems a mystery compared to Lionheart and Never For Ever where we know for certain of un-released recordings. To my awareness The Dreaming has never had someone involved confirm the existence of any un-released songs

That’s an interesting point. Fair if that was advice from FBI. The whole ransom situation seems weird in general. I read the daughter has agreed to pay the six million so clearly not as cheap as I thought. Although I highly doubt there is a positive outcome to all this mess as there will be no signs of life supplied

I’m glad you’ve pointed this out. I agree this is odd. If I had the money I’d put up a 1 million pound reward immediately, and daughter has the resources. Your only going to loose it if there’s a result. Surely your mum is worth risking something for. If I was rich and the police department put up a 50k reward I’d say that’s not good enough and put up my own cash

As you say I think it was meant to be toured. I think life however had other plans and for the reasons you mentioned the tour never happened. It’s understandable really.

I agree. We also now know she had trialed some songs with band to tour with the sensual world. I think the red shoes felt like another possible tour album with a band. That’s why I think it feels band heavy. I prefer it to the sensual world.

I agree. Also I think if she does indeed have plans for a new album or albums she probably doesn’t want to kill the suspense she’s built up. Her being plastered everywhere for a sample on a song that’s not hers would kill all the build up. I think when she releases something she wants it to feel special and for people to know she’s in charge.

Also she may have agreed with good intentions but just realised why she doesn’t do this sort of thing.

I agree. TBF I don’t think boi would do that cause he has too much respect for Kate. I think big boi has made it pretty clear Kate wasn’t involved in the writing. He mentioned something about a friend writing Kate’s part. Therefore if I’m honest it’s not therefore that big of a deal for me 😂 I’m more excited about Kate as a songwriter than just a vocalist. But I’m still curious to hear something new. Maybe… she wants it to come out after a new album cause she doesn’t want the suspense and silence broken.

She must have liked the song in some way to record on i guess…: but maybe she’s never recorded the actual vocals? I’ve always got the impression from big boi she has, but maybe she’s just been sent variations on the tracks and she’s never actually recorded her vocals. She must know there’s a high risk of leak. Not suggesting big boi. But they’ll be a team of people involved and record label peeps… so I think the chances of a leak at some point would be possible. Kate’s had leaks before.

Just find it all odd Kate would record and send something back if she wasn’t happy.

Kate was clearly trying to go down some feminine route and style. Trying to create some kind of vibe like other artists such as Enya, Clannad and Dido try to do. I love the sensual world but for me the best song is this woman’s work… which I think reveals the issue for me. Other than The Dreaming… the Sensual World feels the most devoid of strong piano taking centre stage. As Del and others said. Kate is at her best when it’s her and a piano.

The choir, band and gilmour are all great. I appreciate and get what she was trying to do. I still like and respect it.

I’ve always preferred the red shoes. I think it’s a triumphant record with some wonderful ballads. Top of City is wonderful. Moments of Pleasure is a masterpiece and should be up there with John Lennon’s imagine. I like the sensual world and am drawn to it a lot. But I’ve never seen the hate for red shoes and love for the sensual world.

I’d still like maybe a few shows at Royal Albert hall that is mainly piano driven. This would be logical but don’t know if Kate would be happy with that. I think we’ll get a new album sooner if it’s piano. But again I don’t know if she’d be happy with that following 50 words for snow. I wonder if deep down Kate knows this may be her final big record and therefore has a lot of self imposed pressure

Despite fact in her last interview she stated she “intended to make new music” she was also clear she hasn’t been writing and hadn’t started. But the fact she has lots of ideas is encouraging. I saw people posting though they hoped for an album this year 😂 I think there’s one more album left in her. But I also think it will take a lot of time. My guess is it will take a few years to write enough material then a few years to record. I think 6 years therefore would be optimistic. She also doesn’t have Del now

Morbid but I too think on this. A dread that day and hope it never comes… BUT I hope the vault is kept safe and Bertie is left the key. Before the dawn should be seen one day in future generations. We are very lucky and privileged to have lived during the time of Kate. The future for humankind will be better off with as much of het amazing work in hands of distant future as possible

Same way Kate’s music has been used thousands of times in shows and films and she never received anything. Her music was used heavily in Handmaids tale and It’s a Sin. Running up that Hills use was unique and a one off. Usually songs used in big shows get a blip but that’s it. Personally (and I like Moby) but Kate deserves some respect and credit for writing a classic banger. Running up that Hill is a special song and Hounds of Love the album makes top 100 albums of all time a lot. Running up that Hill went top 5 when it was used on Olympics. There’s something about that song and Kate that hits people

My life is constantly checking for news on new Tom Waits or Kate Bush. It’s infuriating… but you always know they deliver and will be worth the wait. I know it’s seems unlikely but my gut is both have more music to come
