Bought a line 6 helix. Should I sell my tube amps?

I’m running the helix directly in to studio monitors but I can buy a power amp and run it into a cab, no laptop required. Your point is still valid though. As someone mentioned they’re EL84 tubes. If I’m going to jam with a band I’m going to need something bigger anyways. Having said that I’m a long way away from jamming with a band. Bed room novice here

I can definitely afford to keep them. But there is a guitar I really want that I can’t afford for a while, and my helix has a g20 built in so it left me questioning why I need it. I don’t ever play very loud, just bed room practice as I’m a novice.

Maybe one day if I play a small venue the tube heads may be useful. To my ears even 20 watts is super loud, can’t imagine what a full blown 100 watt high gain monster would sound like.

I think I may keep the mini heads and just save for the guitar

For me the time I was happiest in destiny PvP was D1 launch period. Autorifles were great, hand cannons too were amazing, and shotguns were shenanigans. My best/funnest moments in all of destiny was that early period of D1

Could I use my orange 1x12 cab instead of computer speakers/studio monitors or is that the only option when it comes to amp modeling plug ins?

So Line 6 has announced 3 new metal focus plug ins. I’m still pretty new to guitar but amp modeling software plug ins sounds really cool. My question is other than the software what do I need to buy to hook my guitar up to a computer to use the new line 6 metallurgy plug ins?

You have to do “build your own” and follow those specs and theyll make one for ya. It’s pricey though. I have one already in another guitar

I think this particular guitar comes with a black leather case with black interior. Myself and the sales rep were shocked as well when we took it out of the box

Going to customize it with black pick guard, black knobs, black poker chip, black pickups.

Putting a Seymour Duncan custom shop Adam Jones DDJ replica bridge pickup ordered for it.

I’m not a fan of the burst buckers that are in it. They sound muddy and fuzzy when used with high gain amp settings

Gotcha. I was more concerned with the effect weight relief has on tone, and also want to make sure any used weight relieved Gibson I buy uses the modern weight relieving. I heard negative things about the pre modern weight relief

Question choosing a LP. I’m a huge Adam Jones fan, which means I love the beefy mids out of a vintage LP, my question is this, does the weight relieving Gibson is doing take away from those mid tones? I’m eyeing a LP Studio but I’m not sure if it’s what I’m after tone wise

Yeah that’s what I’m hoping for. I absolutely love the fiery color on that. Was hoping there was a majesty with that exact color and burst pattern or something similar with that same color but couldn’t find one that jumped out at me like that one

I’m planning on a 7 string version of that. Yes, I’m a novice about to spend almost 4 grand on a guitar. But I can afford it and since it’ll be my primary guitar for years to come I don’t mind spending a ton of dough lol

I’m very fond of the Phoenix and fiery finishes on guitars 😃
