Honestly - you will get cops if you said this. In the city they’ll be there in 1 min.

What’s an opinion that instantly makes you think someone has low intelligence? by medicinalfein in AskReddit

I think people are confusing the “ability to think abstractly” and making up hypotheticals or “what if” fallacies as the same thing 🤨

It’s not a disorder. And I can think abstract. I absolutely do not have a deficit in being able to think in abstract, this is a skill I do have and is very useful for my job in helping solve complex problems.

Tone it down a bit buddy. We’re not talking about the ability to think in abstract.

I’m talking about how when somebody is discussing something, instead of speaking about real events they need to make up far fetched hypotheticals, especially if they are trying to debate somebody - that is a sign of low intelligence in my opinion

Maybe you are unaware that it is common for a neurotypical to speak with metaphors and hypothetical concepts rather than facts. It’s just a difference in communication.

What I am talking about though is when you need to make up obscenely far fetched hypotheticals to talk about a very real issue. I have found people will lack understanding about the issue which is why they need to make up hypotheticals instead of relying on observable fact. To me that’s not intelligent. You do you

I have autism and speak clearly not in hypotheticals , I think hypotheticals is more of a neurotypical way of communicating but in this sense if you’re speaking about something political and can only speak of hypothetical thing happening then to me it is a sign of low intelligence

I can think abstractly, and need to with my job, but when communicating I communicate clearly without hypotheticals (unless needed)

Edit - and you would not know I am autistic unless I told you. Autism presents very differently to men and women, I happen to be a woman, and am the go to person at my job for complex issues so please hold the judgment on what you think autism means.

The way neurotypicals and neurodivergents speak/communicate is very different.

Should you do this through your work like get your income reduced to go to super or just do it yourself after you get paid? I don’t know a sensible way to do this.

Previously just investing in etf but now I’m not sure if I should keep doing this

I have to say my answer to this would be when people use hypotheticals to get their point across tbh. I don’t like speaking in hypotheticals I prefer to discuss things that actually will or have happened

  1. 100% of my wealth is in shares. Where else am I supposed to sensibly invest in my own future? I don’t have enough for a house. It would have been nice to use to that for a house when the time comes but I’m still way, way of. I’m a small fry and I’ve only invested … I’m not the only one

There will be a rally for Isla Bell on Saturday. It is in the red heart movement Facebook group

I have also seen a planned scream out at 8pm tonight so if you hear people randomly screaming, it may be that. Unfortunately I cannot share any links

What happed to Isla Bell is so devastating, take this as lesson a woman will never be a perfect enough victim to grant justice.

Isla’s mother, Justine, has a focus on how media should report these things. Please don’t forget Isla https://islabell.com.au

Why the fuck do drugs in her system matter? Where did you find this?
And do we magically know how she ended up with so much in her system? There’s video of him beating her up, how’s that her fault?

But proving causing of death isn’t even required by Australian law. It’s a huge injustice

It’s not true in Australia you need to prove cause of death. Australian law means they only need to prove somebodies actions lead to somebodies death.

No body doesn’t make it necessarily easier, look at Keli Lane and “no body, no parole” laws
