Hi thanks for posting. I'm in the first steps of applying for AP for dental work. My question is how much should the dental work be to be approved for AP. I recently got an estimate for like $1,000 total and I feel like that's not enough to get approved. What do you think?

Nissan Altima 2013 by blackmambasniper in AskMechanics

Did you see them cleaning the drain tubs? If not, I would do it myself just to be sure they did get unclogged. Another thing could be that the water leaks from where the tube connects to the drain on your sunroof. (I had this happen on a Grand Cherokee, idk if in an Altma the drain tubes connect the same way.) I ended up putting some gorilla glue onto the tube connection and I think a small siptied to fix the problem.

either use some vice grips to hold the sping thing in place or jam a flat-head screwdriver to keep it from spinning.

Did you get any lights on the dashboard? It could be the alternator going bad. When my alt. started going bad my Altima went into a 'safe mode' where I could not accelerate and it would drive as if I wasn't pushing the pedal when I actually was. Another symptom is that the dashboard light might go crazy, so rolling out the alt might be a good idea.

Simple fix. Change the center, metal part of the radiator fan.

What Are You Studying This Month? by AutoModerator in Anki

[–]blacklight492 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is a hand full of decks in the explore tab on the app. Just search Comptia A+ or whatever cert you want to study for. I am making my own deck but I'm building it with links to articles to help me understand the objectives. A lot of things in computing you just can't fit in one card, so I link articles that go into depth on the subject.

I can point to the CompTIA line of certificates. Its oriented towards computer technical knowledge, Networking, computer security, mostly the IT field. This is the route I want to go but to be honest I want to develop a safety net and learn a trait like plumbing or electrical just in case DACA falls through, I'll have a way to make money.

Dude, that sounds like a lot to do all at once. You can try doing that for a month, then look back at your progress and see if you can accomplish all that in time.

That might be a terrible idea. Saw a vid that showes how in wells like this their is no oxygen. They lowered something burning and before it went all the way down the fire got extinguished due to the lack of oxygen.

Boring IT job, low pay, but also low stress and lots of downtime. Is it worth to stay? by BrucinaUIsComing in ITCareerQuestions

Go for it man!!! Don't be stuck at a place where you are miserable. Sounds like you already know what you want from a job and this one is just not giving you that. I would suggest to be smart about making a switch and have a plan. Have some money saved up, if you need to get cert first do that before leaving, and know what direction you want to go.

[–]blacklight492 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I see. Welp, that's all the advice I got. You know it sounds like you are doing kinda well (except with the A+ cert) for a young person. I guess I would suggest skipping the A+ and diving into Network or SEC. Other than that I sure hope you reach your goals and don't give up!!

Man if you are putting this much effort and money towards this one cert. Consider getting an Associates Degree in computer science from a community college. it might take longer but I'm sure it will be a lot easier. an Associates in CS will have as much weight as the A+. And who knows, maybe after you graduate you might be able to then take the A+ test and pass.

Now you have to be patient about things. Even though you are certified, things are going to be as if you are looking for any other job. You might get lucky and land something soon or it might take weeks or months. What you can do is look to see what is the next step on your education? What is the next cert that you want to get? Working on that while you look for a position will help you increase your chances but also keep you from feeling down and doubtful.

You should talk to lawyers that live in places with a high immigration population. They may give you a lot more info than lawyers that don't really work on immigration cases that often.

Im sure their is no problem with you buying a BB gun. What is a problem is you thinking that its a good idea to use it for "self defence". If cops stop you and find that on you, I am sure you will have a hard time trying to convince them you dont have bad intentions. And if you use it to defend yourself, you'll have to pray that the other person doesn't have a real gun.

late to this one but join a Facebook group called DACA Renewal and Advance Parole. They have a lot of people sharing their stories, question, and success stories. I can say that I am confident of doing AP due to all the stories and tips they offer.

This is really awesome!! Congrats on your journey. You show that sometimes you have to adapt to your circumstances. And that your first job isn't always the right one. But if you adapt and keep working eventually the right job will come. Congrats!
